Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder Review, Swatches
I’m kinda scared of google marking me as a porn site. First the nude lipsticks then the Illamasqua Sex eyeshadow and now the NARS Orgasm. What can I do if the makeup these days is meant only for adults.
Here I present you a popular dupe of NARS Orgasm and Laguna Duo. There have been lots of debates over the two with some loving the elf counterpart and others hating it. So after a month long extensive lab research here is my verdict:
The packaging of the Elf duo is similar to the Nars Orgasm and Laguna Duo. And the shades are similar too. The Blushes are almost identical with Nars being more pigmented. But the bronzer of the Elf Duo is more brown than golden and is more pigmented than the Nars Duo. The NARS Duo is any day better than the Elf. They are not exactly dupes but close cousins.
The Elf duo:
The blush is pinky peach with golden shimmer while the bronzer is…..well bronze! This duo is meant for fairer skin tones. On my nc37 skin, the pink of the blush is not much visible, all I can see is the shimmer but in a good way. Now how is that? Because the shimmer is not flat and works as a light peach highlighter. On days when I want that artificial glow, just dab some of this on your cheekbones and you are good to go. Yes its day wear safe! Just make sure you blend it well because it can look patchy. Also the shimmer may emphasize your pores.

Now the bronzer. I couldn’t get much out of it honestly. The bronzer is no doubt pretty but who puts shimmer in a bronzer? When you try to contour your cheeks, the last thing you want on your face is the shimmer.
So the bronzer is rarely used but oooooh the blush. Its orgasmic. And when you look at the price you are sure to get multiple orgasms!

So is it for you? Oh yes if you love budget deals. The girls who are nc/nw30 and below can enjoy the famous Nars counterpart at throw away price. But the girls who are nc30 and above can enjoy it as a light peach highlighter. I’m not much impressed with the bronzer though.

I use this duo kit too, the blush look good on me, but the bronze too dark, not really suit with my skintone even when i'm already blend it really well..

I love the concept of this blush bronzer duo but I have bought lots of ELF products in the throes of makeup frenzy in d past and was very disappointed by the quality,while it looks tempting no more ELF for me sadly :P
