Coloressence Aqua Makeup Base Foundation Beige: Review and Swatches

Review, Swatches and Price of Coloressence Aqua Make Up Base (LF- 1, Beige)

By Contributor: Debarati

Coloressence has a lot of good make up products. I love coloressence makeup as their shades match Indian skin tones quite well. But first I want to give a big thanks to Anshita to give me the opportunity to write on VNA. Till now I was only a reader. Today I am reviewing and swatching a foundation from coloressence called Aqua Base Makeup in shade LF 1 Beige. Carry on reading to know more about it.

Coloressence claims: Coloressence aqua makeup base long lasting aqua makeup base gives a complete coverage to the skin by its easy to spread and blend quality with SPF 20. it protects the skin from UV rays while maintaining the moisture effect.

How to use: Can be used for day wear. Apply smoothly and blend till it seems completely absorbed.

Active ingredients: vitamin E acetate, punarnava extract. 100% vegetarian, no animal ingredients.

My Review:

Packaging– Coloressence aqua make up base comes in a see through plastic tube with a black cap. The quality of the plastics are good and the cap is tight enough to make it travel friendly. This tube is further secured by a black paper box cover. All details of the product are written on it.

Shade– The shade I am talking about is LF-1 Beige. This is the closest shade among all the shades. I think there are other 3 variants in this range. Any way the shade quite compliments my skin tone. The shade is beige in color but it doesn’t have any pink or yellow undertone to it.

Texture– the texture is very creamy and soft. The nozzle dispenses wright amount of product and a very less amount is enough for cover the entire face as it spreads quite easily.

Coverage and finish– This gives a sheer coverage and at this price tag I didn’t expect much coverage from this. Though it meant for all skin types, it gives a dewy finish. Oily skinned girls may not like this. But it is worth for dry skinned girls, as it is quite moisturizing. It can be easily used in day or night. Obviously if you want full coverage you have to apply good coverage foundation over it. It makes a smooth base for applying further foundation. But if you want just hint of makeup, you may skip foundation. Apply compact over this base make up for shine control.

Staying power– It gives a nice shine on face for about two hours. But after that the face starts to get oily. Sometime it gets oxidized in very humid weather. In that case oiliness occurs earlier.

Price: Rs.150

VNA Rating: 3/5

Conclusion: Overall this is a good product at this price tag (don’t forget its price!!). Coloressence comes with good make up products. I use their compact powder as their compact shade (beige) suits me the most and control shine better than Lakme compacts. But if you ask me if I would buy this aqua make up base again or not? My answer is no! But if you like to use a sheer coverage foundation for daily use you may try it. If you have a very oily skin, better you skip this.
