Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in Peach Crush Review and Swatches

By Contributor: Shruti Gupta

Going to work (summer internship) in this frigging heat is HELL and that to field work *OMG!!* and I am not getting paid, not even a single penny. Too bad! For a week it was very boring and I did not like it there but then I made a few friends and things got better. But still going out in the sun is depressing. But what can perk up a girl’s mood? Yes, a bright lipstick.

At work, everybody dress up in formals and either neutral makeup or no makeup at all *so not me*. I wear semi-formals with bold lips. Yesterday I wore Colorbar Lipstick in Peach Crush to my office and got so many compliments. Not to boast but yes it’s a head turner *wink*. I have to admit that this is my most favourite-est lippie and thought to write about it. Yeah I am late but better late than never :P

Peach Crush is a gorgeous bright coral peach shade and perfect for summer. If you don’t have it,   then shame on you, go grab it right now! It’s a shade which will look beautiful on Indian skin tones.

The texture is matte but not dry and glides on easily. It actually is moisturising for my lips. I don’t feel the need to apply lip balm with it, but if you have super dry lips, lip balm is a necessity. One swipe is enough to get a full coverage even on pigmented lips, it’s that pigmented. The staying power is super amazing. Even after 5 hours of application and a heavy meal, it was still on my lips with slight and even fading. It leaves a beautiful peachy-pink tint which will not go away until removed with a makeup remover. So it was there on my lips when I got back home in evening, no touch-ups required. Lovely na?

The packaging is nice; it comes in a silver casing with a transparent lid. The lid is quite sturdy. I know this because I dropped the lipstick. It snaps shut with a satisfactory click. There is a color representation at the bottom of the lipstick that allows easy identification.

Its available online easily on Jabong.com and other sites.

Let’s take a look at the photos and swatches:
