Colorbar True Gloss Lipgloss in Natural Tan Review and Swatches

Our western counterparts are fond of tanning their skin using artifical tanners. Whereas I like to tan my lips to get a perfect nude look. I was looking for a nude lipstick or lipgloss since a long time and all I could see was this one shade. So yes today I am going to review the shade Natural Tan from COLORBAR True Gloss range

. Last year in 2012 Colorbar launched the True Gloss range with a lot wonderful shades. Seeing the reviews on different beauty blogs I got an urge to review my favourite nude lipgloss on VNA and my dear Anshita happily agreed to it!

My Review:

Colorbar has always impressed me with their colour range and pigmented products. A few month before when I saw a lot of reviews of this lipgloss I decided to try it. One I din’t have a nude lipgloss untill I bought this and two I liked the colour. This range has come out with 10 different shades..from neutrals to bolds. This gloss is very special for me because it was picked up by someone very special ;) you know what I mean right? I like bright colours on my lips but that day he picked up something unexpected. When I tested on my lips I felt the soft texture and instantly fell in love with the colour. I doubt he got bored of seeing me in bright colours! But finally I got my Oh so natural shade I was looking for!

Naturan Tan is a soft nude shade with brown tones. The colour may vary with every skin tone. On me it comes out as a soft peachy brown (I am NC37 in Mac for your reference). But basically it isn’t muddy looking and would suit all Indian skin tones. On fair girls this can work as a peachy brown lipgloss to tone down bright lipsticks and on medium to dusky skin tones this can be their perfect nude lipgloss. The colour stays put for almost 4 hours and after that leaves a light tint which gradually fades away.

It has a moisturizing formula which keep my lips ultra smooth for hours. I guess this is not a gloss but a liquid lipstick which is non sticky (I hate sticky glosses), non drying , super smooth and hydrating. Since the soft creamy texture keeps my lips hydrated, I don’t need to apply lip balm underneath (I have got dry lips).

What I like about Colorbar True Gloss Natural Tan:

• The colour has become my favourite now. Its a pretty soft nude brown shade.
• The pigmentation of the gloss is great to cover any pigmented lips as it give an opaque finish.
• Soft and creamy texture.
• Hydrating and moisturizing.
• Comes with doe foot applicator makes easy to use.

What I don’t like about the Colorbar Lipgloss:

• Price in on the high side.
• It has a mild but weird smell which I don’t like .
• I wish the shelf life was longer.

Final Verdict: Colorbar True Gloss Lipgloss Natural Tan is one of my favourite nude shades now. It goes well with almost every outfit. The gloss suits every Indian skin tone but would definitely suggest to check and try first. It comes in a lot of shades. Although pricey but worth it. I will definitely recommend you girls to try it.
