Review, Swatches, Price of Colorbar Radiant White UV Fairness Compact Powder in shade Shell
By Contributor: Rini
I had my birthday on 7th of January and my bunch of crazy friends presented me such varieties of gifts that I felt like passing out. Sanitary napkins to romance novels to hand washes, I got a wide range of stuffs as gifts from my friends. Not to mention a compact powder. One of my girl friends got so mad at my continuing with Lakme Perfect Radiance Compact for years that she bought me the Colorbar Radiant White UV Compact powder which I will review and swatch today. The UV Fairness Compact comes in five shades: White Pearl (001), Shell (002), Sandy Nude (003), Just Beige (004) and Tan (005).
White Pearl is the lightest and Tan is the darkest shade. The compact powder I have is in shade Shell. Shade Shell is a bit lighter than my skin tone. Sandy Nude (003) would have matched my skin tone better, I think. But a gift is a gift! No complaints! However, let me move on to review the Colorbar Compact Powder .

My Review:
Colorbar Radiant White UV Fairness Compact Powder comes in a white colored plastic container with a rather strong lid. I love the sleek packaging! The compact powder has a small mirror attached and also a decent powder puff. The powder puff is of good quality and convenient to use.
Colorbar Compact has a pleasant smell. Kind of artificial but I like the smell. The texture of the compact is very smooth and fine. The White UV Fairness Compact is easy to apply and blends nicely into the skin. It evens out the skin tone and provides sheer coverage. The compact powder controls oil and mattifies my face for 4-5 hours, which is a good period of time considering my oily skin. The Colorbar product claims to be non comedogenic and I believe it. It has not given me break outs. This is a rare case with me and I am really happy for that. In fact, its claim to be non comedogenic is the only thing which made me check out this compact powder from Colorbar. Also this compact powder has its complete ingredients list which is very good.
The UV Fairness Powder is very light weight and does not feel heavy at all. However, after 3-4 touch ups, my face looks somewhat cake-y. That is something which annoys me! But again, the Colorbar compact has SPF 18, which is a plus point. The sun protection in make up products are however, not that useful. We need to use sun screen separately, no matter what.
I do not like the ‘fairness’ element in Colorbar Radiant Powder. But in our fairness hungry nation, we hardly get something which does NOT focus on lightening skin tone. So, I have stopped taking notice. Otherwise, I have liked using this compact powder. I am considering to replace my Lakme compact powder with this Colorbar one.
Why should you buy Colorbar Radiant White UV Fairness Compact Powder?
- Light weight.
- Non comedogenic.
- Has SPF 18.
- Goodness of Vitamin C and E.
- Controls oil up to 4-5 hours.
- Evens out skin tone.
- Travel friendly.
- Has complete ingredients list.
Why should you not buy Colorbar Radiant White UV Fairness Compact Powder?
- Gives cake-y look after 3-4 touch ups.
- Does not lighten skin tone.
Price: Rs. 250 for 9gm
VNA Rating: 4.5/5
Conclusion: I am very thankful to my friend for buying me Colorbar Radiant White UV Fairness Compact Powder. I might have continued using Lakme compact powder, or else. Apart from the ‘cakey look’ thing, I have nothing to be dissatisfied with this compact powder. Good for oily skin and for acne prone skin, too.

cakey look thing is a pretty bad point to be honest !
Yes, this compact looks cakey after a few touch ups. So it is not good for wearing for a long time.
It sounds nice, wonder if it is still available at this price! Colorbar keeps hiking them up :(
Yeah. That is a bitter truth!
Such a pretty compact powder … reminds me about my old lakme pressed powder which was quite similar. Loved the review dear
