Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Super Strawberry Review

Yes its officially my bidding adieu to my lipstick time and pounce on my light glosses and lip crayons. Light, glossy, hydrating and with SPF the aspects of my ideal lip thingy and my favorite Clinique chubby sticks more or less satisfy all my criteria umm..except the SPF (eyeroll) I went to Clinique last week and picked up a load of skincare stuff along with a couple of chubby sticks again! Today it’s the turn of Super strawberry which I will review and swatch.
Clinique Claims: Coverage Sheer. Super-nourishing balm is loaded with mango and shea butters. Just what dry, delicate lips need to feel comfortably soft and smooth. Sixteen natural-looking lip tints in all, each with a subtle sheen.
How to use: Apply directly to lips. For subtle definition outline lips first, then fill in with natural-looking colour. Never needs sharpening: simply swivel up to reveal more lip colour balm.
My Review:
The packaging of these famous Clinique chubby sticks is only too familiar to us, with their cute color-coded bodies and tight silver caps J easy to apply and carry around in our bags.
The texture is simply the best I have come across so far in lip crayons- light, smooth, glossy, non sticky and a dream to apply on lips evenly and smoothly. Does not emphasize lip lines and hydrates very well.
The shade super strawberry is a bit misleading by name as it is not dark pink/red at all. It is however, a lovely glossy berry pink which makes me look radiant while lifting my natural lip colour and I am simply in love with this shade.
The chubby stick being from the normal range instead of the intense colour range has a very semi-sheer pigmentation which can be built up by multiple swipes to a richer color certainly but would never be enough to cover up patches/pigmentation.
Due to its glossy sheer nature, the staying power is about 1-2 hours with food and drinks! A slight waxy chemical smell is present which fades after minutes and has no taste.

Do I Recommend? Clinique Chubby Stick Super Strawberry is a lovely glossy hydrating lip crayon that has quickly become one of my favorites this season and its buttery texture, wide range of shades, light weight application ensures it continues to win over millions of ladies worldwide for Clinique every single day. Highly recommended! I want all of them! Am yet to review the other chubby stick I picked up from the Intense range.
