Clinique is a brand that has been least explored by me. I mean, sure, I have always been aware of their new launches and the chubby stick range including eye sticks and lip sticks. But I never quite pushed myself to their counter to take a good look. Maybe its because its right next to MAC (which always distracts me!). The chubby stick moisturizing balms have stuck with Clinique for a very long time and they have several varieties of eye and lip products in it. The newest launch is the Cheek Stick called Cheek Colour Balm which is a pretty blush that I will review and swatch today in the shade Robust Rhubarb
.
My Review:
The shade that I have is Robust Rhubarb and it is the prettiest pink/orange shade which looks absolutely beautiful. The blush is of a cream formula and it is packaged within a fat chubby stick that matches the colour of the blush. The formula itself is extremely blendable and smooth. I hardly need to tap it in at all for it to blend completely. Apparently, it is also good for the skin as it contains vitamin E extracts in it. It does contain very fine shimmer in it which is only visible if you bring it really close to the eyes and none of it shows up on the skin.
The best part however, is the sheer convenience of it! There is no need for a brush or any other tools. If you are the kind of person who is always leaving home in a rush, this is absolute perfection. All you need to do is pull the cap off, twist it up, dab some of it on your cheeks and a little tapping, off you go!
Cream blushes never have much of a lasting power and this one is no different. It lasts for about 4 hours on my dry skin and then just disappears. I would also not recommend it for oily skin as it may make your cheeks oily after an hour.
Pros of Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm Robust Rhubarb:
Beautiful peach shade
Blends easily
Good for the skin
Convenient to use
Cute and travel friendly packaging
Cons of Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm Robust Rhubarb:
The lasting power could have been better
Price: Rs.1750 (it hurts!)
VNA Rating: 4. 5/5
Conclusion: Clinique chubby cheek stick is indeed a good and innovative product but I wouldn’t call it a must have. If this does fall in your price range then you should give it a try.
as much as a nice product it is the huge MAC counter at GIp is always calling out to me… :P But I think i will give this a try since i like balmy glosses!
