I was very excited to meet my di, as she was coming from US after 4 years since her marriage. And the day when I actually got to meet her, it felt so good. She was here for just a week and stayed with us for only 4 days and the rest of the time the she visited her in- laws (sob sob) I enjoyed a lot with her, lived those 4 days to the fullest..late night chats with coffees and maggi..you know how we punjabis don’t leave any opportunity to eat! The biggest surprise for me was when she took out a Dior blush and Foundation compact. I literally started shouting and jumping on my bed..yes I actually did! Christian Dior is one brand I was craving to get and finally its in my vanity box now. Out of the two, I will review and swatch the Diorskin Forever Compact.

My Review:

It is one of the best powder foundations I have used, it gives medium to full coverage. Dior’s excellent quality is showcased in this beautiful compact. The powder is silky smooth, extremely blendable, highly pigmented and stays put throughout the day.

I love the sapphire blue packaging, feels so luxurious. And it comes with a mirror too. There are two seperate compartments inside: one for the compact and another for the sponge. Although the case gets dirty with finger prints because its glossy. I would have preferred it matte.

My shade is 023 Peachy Beige and it has light peach tones. A tad light for me but I can make do..its Dior! But honestly the shade adjusts to my skin tone and looks almost natural. The coverage is high and conceals blemishes in a swipe. I guess that’s why people call it a powder foundation. But it never looks cakey and feels like second skin. Reminds me of MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation.

As far as the oil control goes, its quite good. Controls oil for 6+ hours although I’m yet to test it in extreme summers.

Pros of Diorskin Forever Compact Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Makeup SPF25:

• Quite long lasting and contrls oil nicely
• highly pigmented and gives good coverage
• Blends easily because of the super soft texture.
• Never looks cakey and feels so light weight
• Plenty of shades to choose from

Cons of Christian Dior Diorskin Forever Compact Foundation:

• The glossy packaging gets finger prints and looks dirty
