Bourjois Paris Intense Extrait Eyeshadows 05 and 08 Swatches, Review and EOTD

Bourjois Paris Intense Extrait eyeshadows 05 and 08 review

Bourjois Paris Intense Extrait Eyeshadows 05 and 08

By Contributor: Tejinder Kaur

Today I am reviewing and swatching Bourjois Extrait eye shadows; cute little round pots I had bought an year ago. Actually I don’t use them a lot but thought at least I should use them for the review and do some eye makeup looks. Having tried some looks, I am really       impressed and happy with these eyeshadows. Happy dance!

Bourjois Claims: FULL ON COLOUR POWER – 16 HOUR HOLD!

A UNIQUE MAKE-UP RESULT – Made from 87% mineral pigments, precisely measured and selected, INTENSE is highly concentrated for 2 x more coverage than a classic eye shadow in one single application. INTENSE is made up from mineral pigments. It is hypoallergenic, paraben- and fragrance-free and suitable for contact lens wearers.

BOURJOIS’ HISTORICAL BAKED TECHNOLOGY – Our iconic eye shadows have been women’s beauty favourite for almost 150 years! The formula is manufactured using Bourjois’ unique baking process for radiant colour, silky textures and perfect blending. And, it lasts for up to 16 hours*! And it’s good for my eyes!

Available in a wide range of 10 exclusive shades and suitable for all occasions and styles:-

The essential shades to illuminate and sculpt the eyes (01, 02, 03, 09, 10)

The dramatic shades to intensify the eyes (04, 05, 06, 07, 08)

I own 05 and 08 shades which are best for dramatic looks. #05 is very pretty matte peacock green shade. It’s one of the gorgeous green shades that I own, goes very well with western and Indian attires and suits all Indian skin tones. It can be worn alone or with any colour to create Smokey looks.

Shade #08 is coppery brown shade which would go with Indian attires very well. I love this shade a lot more than the green one. It has finely milled gold glitters which hardly shows up on lids. As these are baked eye shadows they look matte.

The texture is very soft, smooth and powdery but does not fall too much while applying. I would recommend using an eye primer before applying these as it would hold the colour better and would extend the staying power to 6-7 hours. Without primer it starts creasing or fading after 3 or 4 hours. It glides smoothly on the lids and the pigmentation is nice. The colours are so intense that a little amount can cover all the lid. Two strokes give full coverage. They can be used wet or dry although the eye shadow when used dry is not as good compared to using wet as it does fall out while using dry. An easy work around is to damp the brush with wet wipes before applying.

These baked eyeshadows come in round pots which looks really classy. The product inside matches the outer body of the pot, making them easy to locate. The back side of the product contains all the information about product. They also come with a mirror inside which can be used on the go; you can even use it to apply your lipsticks. There is no applicator with them but they do have a magnetic lock system which makes them sturdy and travel friendly.

Bourjois Paris Intense Extrait eyeshadows 05 and 08 review

Price: Rs.410

VNA Rating: 4/5

Final Verdict: Bourjois Paris Intense Extrait Eyeshadows 05 and 08 are totally worth the price, travel friendly, have soft/blendable texture and can be used wet or dry. It intensifies the shades a lot when applied wet and has no fallout either. Fades easily when used dry, so primer is must and can be used wet for better colour payoff. Very smooth and soft in texture. With 10 beautiful shades to choose from, do give it a try!
