By Contributor: Aditi

Bonjour beauties! Well I guess I am getting more fluent in my French classes, and I present another French beauty from PARIS, the bourjois healthy mix serum foundation, which according to LISA ELDRIGE is of HG status for dry skin, and for me who has tree-bark dry skin in winters, it sounded a total must have, it evolved from it’s elder sister the original healthy mix foundation, just having a little lighter and thinner texture. I have it in shade no.53 Beige Clair which would suit Indian skin tones from NC30-35. Let’s start with the review and swatches.

Bourjois Claims: Give your skin a radiance boost with Bourjois’ Healthy Mix Serum Gel foundation – made from a vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula for an even complexion and an instant anti-fatigue result! Its fresh and instant blending gel texture blends and glides onto the skin for an even, natural finish with no mask effect. Imperfections are erased, signs of fatigue are smoothed and the skin’s radiance is boosted for up to 16 hours.

My Review:

Shade: the shade beige clair no.53, would be good pick for someone who is NC30-35 in mac, the undertones of this shade is warm neutral, its not too pink nor too yellow, but if you are some one with orange-y undertone, this might be something that would look a little ashy on you. If you are around NC 35-37, no.54 would suit you.

Packaging: I seriously lovee the packaging of bourjois healthy mix, its a thin little glass bottle containing 30ml of product. With a great pump that doesn’t over-dispense the product and a red sturdy plastic cap. In fact its so tiny and mobile, I tried slipping it into my jeans pocket and it hid itself in there perfectly, good for travel!

Coverage: it’s a thin gel like foundation, that is super duper easy to blend and gives about sheer to buildable medium coverage. A little tip here, if you want more coverage and intend on layering the foundation, you totally can. Just keep in mind that once you apply a layer, let it set for 2 minutes and then go on with 2nd layer and blend it real well, healthy mix serum foundation works best when stippled or blended .

Texture: as I mentioned above, it has a thin gel serum texture and the brand claims it to be a foundation infused in serum with health benefits. It’s not too flowy, nor too thick. Just perfect .

  2. This sounds pretty nice & I do want to try it out but I tend to stay away from bourjois foundations because they aren’t sealed ever.
