Review, Price, Buy Online The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower Cream

By Contributor: Agnirupa

Those who shudder at the idea of rubbing a cold bar of soap (be it delectable or hand-made even!) on their body in winters to create lather, hands up! Yo me too fall in this category and during this wintry time of the year shower gels, or more precisely the shower creams are my best friends for a soothing and hydrating hassle free shower! I picked up both shea s hower cream and brazil nut shower cream which I will review today from The Body Shop last month so read on for my experience.

TBS Claims: This rich, soap-free shower cream creates a rich lather and has a sweet and nutty scent. Lather up in the bath or shower using h ands or a bath lily. Rinse thoroughly.

  • Soap free – it won’t dry out the skin

  • Rich lather

  • Sweet and nutty scent

My Review:

As we all are very familiar with the packaging of TBS shower gels and body lotions, I will keep it short and sweet! This shower cream comes in a sturdy transparent round plastic bottle with a flip-top cap for easy pouring out. But being a big 250ml bottle, it is almost impossible to travel around with it.

The shower cream is creamy light caramelly in color and medium thick in texture so I have to shake my bottle a bit to pour it out (wish it came with a pump) But once out, it is really nice and smooth and spreads easily and evenly on my damp skin. I usually use a bath lily if I have time or just use hands when in a hurry! Either way its easy to apply and use and hardly makes a difference.

Being a shower cream and not a gel, it of course does not lather, instead feels very like a lotion which I keep for a couple of minutes to absorb the hydration benefit and wash it off. It washes off very easily and leaves my skin so smooth and soft without leaving any heavy/sticky residue sitting on top of skin.

I hate the feel of dry stretchy skin so I rush to apply lotion on my still damp skin so that it retains the moisture better but surprise surprise! I applied no lotion over this and my skin was still smooth and soft when dry making me forget that I had applied no moisturizer. Way to go! After a few hours though, I had to apply a lotion but that’s the case with me even if I apply lotion after my usual shower gel.

Coming to the fragrance..aahh..I feel I am transported to a caramel heaven whenever I open it and take a whiff! It is just molten gooey sweet toffee. The fragrance persists in my bathroom for a long time afterwards and I adore the comforting lingering smell left on my arms. Bit too overwhelming for those who hate food smells though!

  2. First of all I would like to say superb blog!
I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.

I was interested to find out how you center yourself and
clear your head before writing. I have had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there.
I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just
seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted simply just trying to
figure out how to begin. Any recommendations
    or hints? Thanks!
