When you want something from all your heart and suddenly you get it unexpectedly…how would you feel? On top of the world right? Getting my first ever lipstick from Bobbi Brown was a dream come true when my aunt (of course brain washed by me) gifted me a Bobbi brown lipstick. Omg!! I still can’t believe I own their famous creamy matte lip color. I will review and swatch today the shade Pink Lily.
Bobbi Brown Claims: Bobbi’s revolutionary new lipstick – Creamy Matte Lip Color combines the look of a classic matte lip with incredible wearability. Creamy and moisturizing, it glides on comfortably and feels light-as-air. Not to mention that it’s got staying power, too (it won’t budge for 8 hours). Inspired by the looks she was creating for Fashion Week, Bobbi set out to develop the perfect color range, everything from nudes to bright to bolds. We’re pretty sure you’ll want more than one color.
Pink Lily is a bright fuchsia pink shade. Its so bright that I’ve to keep my makeup very simple when I wear it. It would work well on fair to medium Indian skin tones but may look too neon on darker skin tones. Its very pigmented. One swipe is enough to cover your lips in the rich bright pink shade and hide your lip pigmentation.
The lipstick claims to be creamy matte lipstick which is totally true. Its matte but non-drying to lips and glides super smoothly on my lips. The staying power is amazing and it stays for around 8 hours on my lips. It has got no fragrance at all. Yes there are rumors of Bobbi brown lipsticks smelling like plastic but this particular lipstick has no smell at all, which makes me double happy as I can’t stand weird smelling lipsticks.
It comes in a nice sleek black case with a glossy black finish which looks really classy. I found the lipstick bullet a bit similar in shape like the Mac Prolong wear lipsticks. The shape of the lipstick bullet makes it a little difficult to apply on lips, I like the regular slanted tip of lipsticks but still its not a big problem.
I brainwashed to my aunty to gift me this lipstick after I saw its swatches on blogs online. Its a big risk to choose a lipstick online just by the swatches specially when it costs 1350 bucks. I got this lipstick with loads of expectations and I must say it passed all of them. The longevity of the lipstick is really impressive. Next is the pigmentation , undoubtedly I will give full marks for it.

Final Word: Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Color Pink Lily is a lovely fuchsia pink shade that will suit fair to medium Indian skin tones. The pigmentation, texture and the staying power is amazing along with the classy black packaging. Highly recommend!

I’ve been wanting one myself but not with “all my heart” I guess or I would have got it- the whole Creation would have worked towards helping me get it- that’s how some dialogue from some SRK flick goes I think! Jokes apart, but I’ve been wanting one myself so can imagine your delight. Congrats!!

The consistency of this lipstick is the best in matte lipsticks. I own the pale peach color in this range. But I hate their packaging. It’s so sleek. The cap is so tight and slippery that some days I’m unable to open it and I just have to skip applying it. The staying power and the feel of this lipstick on lips gets 10/10.
