Best Facial Ever For Sensitive Skin!

glow facial

Standing in the dimly lit room of the Aroma Thai spa I now realize I want to run away. Fast. Its not like I’ve never had a facial before but the after effects never have been pleasant. Then i realise its all because of the sailor. He is coming to delhi in a couple of weeks and right now I look….. lets just say i look like I just came from a trip to the Thar desert with skin tone bordering on mac nc60 (exaggeration…..but still!). Right now my skin makes more oil than an oil well. And the tan looks horrible. How come these phoren girls sun bath and come out with the most gorgeous golden tan ever? My tan is brown! I have to look presentable and fresh. Plus I’m a beauty blogger so I’m supposed to know all the tricks and can’t take a day off. Yes people beauty bloggers are humans too and we too deal with tanning acne and stuff. All the beauty tricks and tips I share with you are cures not precautions. You just can’t escape the sun!

The pretty Thai girl with a flower in her bun breaks my line of thoughts and asks us to take off our shoes and gives the jute slippers

instead. My mom at this moment says “Is she from Thai-land too?” Err….she looks Chinese to me but who knows. She is probably the only girl I’ve ever seen who can get away with an overdone pink blush.

We make our way to the spa room and get seated. Its empty right now. Yeah who would come out of their comfortable a/c home on this hot and sunny day in May. The lights are dim (just like how I prefer). The thai girl brings a tray full of lotions and potions and places the tray beside me. I can see a hand sanitizer, cleansing milk, cotton pads, mask and some mixtures. She starts cleaning my makeup with the cleanser (although I came prepared and wore just a kohl and lip balm). I close my eyes and try to relax. But no the beauty blogger in me won’t let me. I want to know all the products that she is using. I can now feel a light scrub on my cheeks. She keeps on scrubbing for some 10mins or so and then wipes it off. Now I can feel a cooling gel on my face. She is slowly masagging my face and using some pressure points at my temples and around the eyes. At this point I just give up trying to be an aware and knowledgeable beauty blogger and want to drift away to sleep.

She now moves to masagge my neck, shoulders and upper back. Her hands feel soft and she is applying just the right amount of pressure. She breaks me from my nap asking if the pressure is okay. Ofcourse it is lady! The facial continues for another 30-40mins and I’m now totally relaxed and calm. After cleaning everything off she hands me vintage hand mirror and I look at it feeling all filmy and star like. I can see my fresh face but the lights are not bright enough to see the cresults properly. I can see some blackheads on my nose and wonder why she didn’t use those blackhead needles to remove them. Maybe its a thai thing too. I look at my mom sitting in the chair beside me and ask her what she thinks. She smiles and gives an admiring look.

She now brings us two cups of herbal tea. Well…if you are regular with your green tea then you may like it….but err…I pass my cup to my mom! She gives me her “spare me the horror” face and we both start laughing. Herbal tea isn’t for us!

vain moments!

We quickly come out and say our byes and thank yous. And head out….the sudden bright light is so blinding!

The spa is on the 2nd floor of Pacific Mall, Delhi. And the food court is here too…..we quickly run to Haldiram’s! Mom orders plain dosa and after the first bite exclaims “its the worst dosa ever!” It really was. I mean we know what a plain dosa is but that plain?!

We quickly head to Mac and I check out some paint pots and the new Archie’s Girl collection. Will show you soon.

Normally my face gets tomato red post threading or facial. And the zits get frequent for the next 2-3 days. I keep looking at myself in the mirrors to see some redness or emerging zits. Nope not today. My skin feels soft and smooth. And ofcourse radiant! I take some pics with my mom. Normally when we are photographed together her face looks brighter than me (her “natural only” nuskhes). But today I’m giving her a tough competition! See the first pic of the post. No I’ve not used any artificial light! La-la-di-la. I just hope the glow stays for atleast 2-3 weeks….I want to meet the sailor like this!

My Vitamin C glow and de-tan was priced at Rs.1350 and lasted for 50-60mins. Paisa vasool!
