Benefit Dallas Blush Review and Swatches
By Contributor: Priya Sharma
Described as ‘an outdoor glow for an indoor gal face powder’ on the website here Benefit Dallas is not really a blush, but can be used as a bronzer or contouring powder as well. The given name is Desert rose, and to simplify the review for you, I feel Dallas Blush to be of Brick-Brown shade with, pink undertones. It is a staple for natural-looking make-up admirers. If to be used as a Bronzer, this shade is definitely a rare piece, with a unique neutral hue rarely seen in usual bronzers over the counter. The best part is that Dallas complements most Indian skin tones providing a subtle look.
The powder is again, chalky (but not too much as CORALista), and super delicate and silky. The powder in the box may look silky, but when applied gives a complete matte finish on the skin.
It glides smoothly on the brush, and blends effortlessly over the skin. Even after slathering two-three coats the colour does not overpower (as seen in the container/case), and never becomes too intense, rather, harmonize with other facial make-up. Best used as a bronzer for lighter skin tones, and as a blush for medium tones, the shade is never loud when used for either of the purpose. However, you may build a brownish/brick-reddish patch, when more than 4-5 coats of Dallas is applied, it sure may look unflattering.
Personally, I have gone head over heels with most Benefit products and they really stand different from other brands, not in just marketing or packaging strategies but also in what they offer in the box. The shades, use etc is always unique with mixed with premium quality. Though the price is what shatters all the hopes of satisfying my greed for Benefit Products.
I highlight my cheeks with CORALista , while I Contour with Dallas, it is just perfect for my skin shade, till 2 coats. On lips I like the Cha Cha Tint .
