Surprised? I know! Me reviwing a skin care product and that too..a mask? Haha don’t be! Sometime back a reader mailed me to ask why I don’t review skin care..you know face washes, face packs, lotions, creams, etc etc. Well….because they so boringggggg!! I mean..hello who needs reviews for that?! But turns out there ARE people who like to know what works for me and what doesn’t. I can’t promise but I am definitely noting it down in my planner
Avon Claims: Avon Naturals Rose Petal Whitening Mask is formulated with rose petals and rose hips. Rose hips are know to contain Vitamin C that have skin whitening properties. Mild and gentle benefits in the mask improves skin clarity, improves skin texture, helps in skin whitening, leaves an even toned skin and improve skin radiance.
So the other day I wore this matte foundation which made my skin super dry. I turned to my favourite Lakme 3 step mask which works super great on my oily skin. But with the change in weather, it backfired and made my skin even more dry. Just then the doorbell rang and came in this Avon Rose Petals mask. I immediately put it on and tadaa hello moisturized and hydrated skin. I have a pretty good history with gel based products so I kinda knew it will work.
Oh btw it looks super red and colourful in the tub with these tiny dried out rose petals. The fragrance is not of rose petals though..something pomegranatey and fruity which I like.
Apart from the moisturization it also makes my skin glow. I don’t know about the “whitening” part and frankly why would you want that? Aren’t dusky girls pretty already? Plus they can carry off a wide range of lipstick shades which the fairer lot can’t! Buhooooooo!
Back to the mask, so yes it does brighten my face which lasts a day or two. So its a good option before a lunch date!
