As you guys know, I will be unveiling my reviews of the lovely Olay products sent to me by Anshita to try out one by one over a few weeks time span. I had already heard rave reviews of this particular product from the 7 in 1 total effects range i.e the cream+serum duo and always wanted to try it out! But owing to my oily-combination skin, I stayed away from what seemed like a very moisturizing product..so how was it really? Read on the review.

My Review:

The packaging is so very cute! It resembles the entire total effects range in its matte black pump packaging with a bottle but this one is easy to set apart from the others as its much slimmer and much more compact to carry around! The entire product looks adorable in creamy white and golden alternate ribbons and good enough to eat. The pump makes product dispensal very easy and the bottle easy to carry.

The cream-serum duo when pumped out, however very sadly unifies into an uniform creamy white medium textured cream- very smooth and easy to apply on skin, absorbs quite easily without leaving behind any whitish cast.

Since the weather is still quite dry here, I am absolutely loving this cream+serum duo on my skin much to my astonishment! It hydrates my skin beautifully and makes it soft and supple. It leaves behind no heavy/oily feeling on skin but does tend to make my t-zone a little oily after a few hours so I always brush some loose powder over it.

As for the efficacy, I have been using it for more than 2 weeks now and am very pleased to say that I have definitely noticed some positive changes in my skin. I had some flaky stretchy parts towards my scalp and around my nose which have completely disappeared and my skin looks and feels more plump and radiant. The appearance of some fine lines on my forehead and around nose also look decreased.

The fragrance is very mild, inoffensive and floral and fades in a few moments of application.

Comes with a basic SPF of 15 which makes me like it more.

• The texture of the cream is very smooth and creamy-applies and gets very easily absorbed into skin

• Mild, likeable floral fragrance

The cons of Olay Total Effects 7 in One Cream + Serum Duo:

• Might be a bit heavy for me in summers. I almost can keep nothing on my skin except matte sunblock.

Do I recommend? Claimed by olay as their most potent formula, this cream+serum duo is a lovely and effective idea- easy to carry, use, lovely smooth texture, effective, niceky hydrating without being greasy! Plus it did not break me out at all. A must try!
