I am back after a short break and as usual with another lipstick for you guys! Not bored yet I hope? Lakme went mad a few months back and kept on launching new stuff back-to-back. Happy us! But grr..the prices! I wasn’t much impressed by these overpriced gloss addict lipsticks either but ever since I have seen this shade being reviewed on a beauty blog, I promptly went crazy and ordered it online! My Review:
The packaging of these gloss addict lipsticks is very sexy and sleek, encased in a gunmetal tube packaging with a tight clear c ap for easy demarcation between multiple shades you own. Classy and travel friendly packaging.
The texture is superb!! Its almost like the mac lustre finish lippies- light, glossy, very smooth and not at all heavy/sticky. It glides on lips like butter and smoothes out all sorts of lip flaws- resulting in a healthy pout with a glossy finish.
The shade desert rose is simply amazing thank god for that blog reference! It’s a toned-down classic rose pink with subtle hints of coral which make it such a gorgeous soft everyday color- a pretty pink flush which brightens up any look. The pigmentation is pretty good, considering the light glossy finish and you need a couple of swipes to obtain the true color. Your natural lip color will influence the outcome a lot though.
The lasting power is very good as well, and doesn’t budge from my lips for around 4 hours with light food and drinks which is great for such a light lipstick.

Do I recommend? Even a couple of months back, I would have advised you to invest a bit more and get a mac lustre finish lipstick instead but now (na baba na) even overpriced lakme for 800 bucks is a ton nicer than a 2k lipstick. Plus these have gorgeous buttery texture, good glossy finish, pigmentation and decent lasting power. Thumbs up!
