- Whole eggs (2 if you have medium sized hair, 1 if you have shorter hair or more than 3 if you have very long hair).
- Green tea (I drink Tetley green tea so I will using its tea bags for our masks)
Procedure: Crack open eggs in a bowl and set it aside. Fill half a cup with the lukewarm water and dip 2 green tea bags in it and let it brew for 5-8 minutes. Add the tea in small amounts to the eggs and mix properly. The mixture consistency should be neither too thick, nor too runny and the colour will be light brown. Why let those leaves go to waste? Cut open the Tetley green tea bags and pour the leaves into the mixture and mix everything up. Apply the whole mixture, to the scalp first then work your way out towards then ends. Keep the mask on for 30-40 minutes then rinse off with water completely before using your favourite shampoo and conditioner. Immediate results can be seen as the hair will be super soft and shining! Use this mask 2 times a week for best results and continued nourishment.
DIY Coconut, green tea and lemon hair mask for dandruff removal:
This easy DIY hair mask is your answer to all those pesky hair and scalp vows like dandruff and itchy scalp.
Procedure: For this hair mask, you will need to heat up a pan and then throw in green tea leaves (I am using leaves from the Tetley tea bags), ¼ or ½ of lemon juice and 3-4 tablespoons of coconut oil. Het up the mixture for not more than 2-3 minutes then let it sit and cool down. Apply it on the scalp with fingers and take this opportunity to massage your scalp as well. Leave it on for 45 minutes or 1 hour then wash off!
Lemon Juice Green Tea face mask Recipe:
You will need ½ teaspoon of squeezed lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of (cooled) freshly brewed green tea. You can also add in a pinch of turmeric for extra protection against inflammation and acnes.
Procedure: Mix all the ingredients together. Take a cotton ball and dip it into the mixture then dab it on to your skin. Repeat after 3 minutes or when the pack is completely dry. When the whole mixture is used up, leave it on for 10-15 minutes then wash off with water. Your sk in will be brighter and glowing from within. It will be super soft and squeaky clean as well.
Green Tea, Lemon juice and Yogurt Face Mask DIY Recipe for sensitive skin:
This pack is wonderful for those beauties with sensitive skin.
Procedure: In a bowl, take the leaves out from a used Tetley green tea bag and mix it with 2 tablespoon of plain yogurt and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix properly till everything is blended. Gently apply it all over your face and neck and leave it on for 20-30 minutes. You will notice that your skin looks very clean and refreshed after you wash it off.
Green Tea and Sugar Face and Body Scrub DIY:
This can be used as a very mild exfoliator for everyday, gentle exfoliation. It is quick and easy to make and the ingredients are super easy to find.
Procedure: In a 1/3 filled cup, brew 1 green tea bag in water and let it sit till the water is lukewarm. In a bowl, pour in 2 tablespoons of regular sugar and add in a few tablespoons of Tetley green tea in it until completely dissolved. Add another tablespoon of sugar in it and mix it. The consistency will be semi-thick. Use a cotton pad, scoop up the mixture and rub it all over your face. Gently exfoliate the skin with the mask for a few minutes then wash off with water.
