Lakme Absolute Royal Collection Shine Line Brown Shimmer Review and Swatches

Brown seems to be the new pink in my life. I am super obsessed with everything brown these days, be it kajal, nail paints or this liner. After I bought the lakme eyeconic kajal in brown I realized that brown kajals and eyeliners suit me better than black ones, as in they don’t look OTT for work and give a nice smokey look too. Anyways I went with few friends to a beauty shop to buy some lipsticks, there the SA swatched the new Lakme Liquid liner in Brown Shimmer on my hand which I will review and swatch today, it looked so pretty that I instantly bought it. These shine line eyeliners are available in 9 colors: Blue, Teal, Silver, Pink, Golden, Smokey Grey.
Lakme Claims: Grab the spotlight on a single stroke application with three lustrous colors for high definition eye line. Long Lasting.
Packaging: this eyeliner comes in a transparent slim bottle with a silver-greyish cap. I like the transparent packaging as you can see the amount of product left inside.
Shade: as the name itself says Brown Shimmer the eyeliner is a shiny brown shade with lots of shimmer in it. A very gorgeous shade.
Texture: the texture of the eyeliner is not very thick but not runny also. It’s the correct consistency for an eyeliner which doesn’t take ages to dry.
Pigmentation: Now this is where I feel it lacks a bit. Although it’s decently pigmented and shows beautifully in hand swatches but on the lids, I have to swipe it atleast 3 times for the color to show properly. I have 2 more of these shine lines- olive and black, and both show up beautifully in 1 swipe only. Seeing this I wonder whether this particular shade would show on dusky beauties or not.
Staying Power: Once put on lids, it stays intact the whole day, which is 10 hours max in my case, unless you rub in between. A single rubbing of eyes and it would flake easily. Also, this is waterproof so won’t go with only a splash of water. You need to use a makeup remover to remove it.

Do I Recommend? Lakme Absolute Shine Line Eyeliner Brown Shimmer is a very nice shiny brown eyeliner which looks beautiful on eyes. Dusky beauties can try and see if it shows on them. I am in love with these shine lines, already have 3 and eyeing the blue now.
