Continuing my posts on Indian weddings, here is a brand new article about, weddings!! Yaayy! Don’t we just love traditional Indian weddings? It is such a special day for the bride and the groom, it is the time they finally unite as one and vow to love each other and spend the rest of their lives with each other. With so much attention being given to how the bride looks on her wedding day, bridal make up plays a vital role in enhancing her bridal look as a whole and is now very significant in Indian weddings. If you are on a budget or you just love doing your own make up, here is a concise list of the best bridal make up tutorials from youtube makeup artists that you can follow to look picture perfect on your wedding day.
A bride’s make up can make or break her entire look as a whole. A hey, we don’t our badly done make up to be the talk of the town after the wedding right? With elaborate make up and expensive Indian make up artists being hired for these occasions, doing your own bridal make up for your wedding day can be quite the challenge. In fact, not just yourself, you can do it for somebody as well! If you are good with make up and want to make a few extra bucks, these bridal videos just might be of great use to you.
Also, making sure that your make up matches your wedding lehenga and also so that it does not overpower the bride’s entire look as a whole can be quite a challenging task, as make up tends to make brides look older than they already are, so, choosing the right colors for your wedding make up is a very important task. Let’s begin, shall we?
Must Watch Bridal Makeup Videos for Indian Brides
1. Royal Wedding Look
This make up tutorial is suitable for those royal brides who have a heavy lehenga which would be the focus of your entire look. It has a beautifully done brown smokey eye with pinkish nude lips. This makeup video also works great if you have really heavy jewelry and which would possibly draw attention to them. If you are slow at applying make up like me, this may take you a while to get a hang of but if you insist on having a similar royal make up look, go ahead and pause the video at given intervals.
Overall, the make up is done beautifully, although it was not the perfect match for the outfit she wore. A copper gold designer royal lehenga would have worked better, but nevertheless, the youtube tutorial is very useful.
2. Traditional Bridal Makeup Look
Although this bridal video is fairly old considering that fashion and make up change with every passing day, nevertheless, this traditional makeup video is extremely popular and quite relevant even today. This meenakshi dutt video is fairly simple, with very little complications and is perfect for those who do not want a fully made up face on their wedding day.
Either that, or if you are the bride’s sister, this is the makeup video for you. Easy, yet loud, just like our big fat traditional Indian weddings. The eye shadow can be changed as per your preference, but what I really liked in this video is the how minimal yet spot on the base make up was.
3. Bengali Bridal Look:
This video by Blueroseartistry has been done catering to women with medium to dark Indian skin and for those who are conscious about what colors work with your dusky skin tone, this bengali look video will really help you out with that issue. This traditional bride makeup look has a lot of make up procedures involved, so in case you want a light dewy look for your wedding, this may not be the one for you. But if heavy make up is your thing, this could work for you!
4. Asian Bridal Makeup Look:
This asian bridal tutorial have given quite a lot of emphasis to black smokey eyes, so if you are into this look for a wedding, give it a shot, or else you could try it for the sangeet or the cocktail party! They eyes have been the focal point of the look, so keep in mind while matching the look with an outfit, as your asian make up may overpower your entire look. Also has some nice tips and tricks for makeup.
5. Bridal Makeup for Dark Indian Brides
In this wedding makeup tutorial, the winged eye liner has taken over the entire show. This work can work with just about any outfit look as the tones have been very neutral and this make up tutorial has been made such that attention is drawn to the outfit and the jewelry, as the make up is not too overpowering. This bridal look is suitable for those with big, beautiful eyes, as the winged eye liner has enhanced the model’s eyes even more and they look bigger and brighter w ith a little sparkle.
6. South Indian Bridal Look
This south Indian make up look is by far the most minimal make up look I have ever seen and if your wedding is going to be a low key affair and you do not want to look fancy or heavily made up, this look is the one for you. This is also suitable for the bride’s sister or the mother, as the make up is not loud and does not scream for attention. A little tweaks can be done based on your preference.
7. Smokey Bridal Makeup Video
At first, this Indian bridal make up might be a little too much, but once it is completed, it works perfectly with the entire outfit. This youtube tutorial is more suited for more fun events, like a cocktail or after party as the look is really bold and is bound to draw attention, unnecessary, if I may add.
8. Modern Bridal Makeup Look
This modern look of an Indian bride has been done so effortlessly, and although it has a lot of products that have been put to use, but it is totally worth everything. In spite of the heavy use of make up, the look is so light and dewy and looks very light, so a must try for a haldi or a night function.
9. Classy Bridal Look Video
This is personally my favorite bridal make up look for Indian brides. It will work with everything and definitely is at a beginner level of make up expertise so it is not hard to emulate at all. Try it out for an event prior to the wedding and if you like it, try it for your wedding as well!
10. Princess Bridal Look
This princess wedding look is not on the heavier side either, so it is perfect fort those Indian brides who do not like too much make up, but also have that made up element required in weddings. It will work with most Indian wedding outfits to make sure you look like a princess on your wedding day.
This Indian wedding look is very clean and sophisticated and the video has been done beautifully with a transition from day to night. In case you are at those Indian weddings which are usually a one day affair, this bridal make up video could work for you and fit in your crunched time slot.
12. Pink Bridal Makeup Video
This pink theme bridal look is bold yet clutter free at the same time, so it draws the attention of the viewer towards the outfit and the jewelry rather than the make up. None the less, the make up has been done beautifully keeping in mind traditional Indian weddings so the color palette is also quite balanced, although it is more inclined towards the North Indian style of wedding.
13. Wedding Look for Engagement
Although this wedding tutorial is not meant for Indian bridal make up, but it definitely can be used in other wedding events like the sangeet or any other fun celebration, be it pre or post wedding. It is clean and sparkly and would be perfect for night events, where all the glitter in the make up can stand out even more.
14. Bold Wedding Makeup Look
This bold bridal look is quite sparkly and if you are having an unconventional wedding lehenga, you can incorporate this look. Or, wear this look for a non wedding event, probably the cocktail party or the wedding after party. The glitter in the make up will shine brighter during the night time among all the lights.
If your lehenga is in gold or any metallic shade, incorporate this pakistani bridal look as it will bring out the shimmer in the outfit along with enhancing the shimmer in the bride’s eyes. The heavy eye liner and lashes will bring out the sparkle in her eyes even more.
That is it for this wedding post. Do go through the previous articles by me along with this one and let us know how you like it. Until then, cheers!
