So today I am here to talk about my favourites of all the salicylic acid products available in the Indian market. They prevent oil secretion while keeping the balance of the skin. The acid has a peeling action on the skin which in turn helps with clogged pores. Let’s check out the list of the best salicylic acid products in India for oily and acne prone skin
Salicylic Acid is a Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) derived from the bark of a willow tree. It is basically an alternative thing for aspirin. It is identified that 0.5% -2% concentrations of salicylic acid are operative at clearing mild to moderate acne successfully without over drying the skin. So almost all the good acne skin products have it. Also salicylic acid is very expensive and hence the high price tags of some products. Although I have tried to keep the list useful for both the budget girls and those looking to splurge.

The salicylic face wash in India is also well known in treating the large open pores and prevention of acne issues.
A very renowned budget friendly brand Garnier has the Pure Active range which has a breakthrough formula with unique association of two powerful actives – Salicylic acid with powerful anti-bacterial properties, and Herbal repair agents with natural repairing and regenerating properties. The whole range is worth using for when you suffer from acute acne. Although beware of the acne control pen..it basically sucks. I would especially recommend the pure activ salicylic face scrub and cleanser which already have reviews on VNA.
The most popular and indisputably the best oil-free face wash for acne prone skin. It claims to be a salicylic acid acne treatment which soothes and helps the acne to disappear with regular usage. The concentration of salicylic acid is 2% which is perfect for the skin and the product is also non-comedogenic without any parabens.
The clinique product is a bomb. It comes with a 12shade variety, this liquid makeup is entirely non-comedogenic. A great option to use as a foundation when your skin is going through an acne phrase. The product feels light weight on the skin and medicated constituents help treating existing breakouts and keep them from coming back. One of the only salicylic foundations in India for girls who love makeup but deal with acne and sensitive skin.
Kaya is famous for healthy naturally glowing skin that comes up with every possible cure for skin troubles. Most of the products from this range has Salicylic Acid although not all of them are non-comedogenic. Although slightly expensive, the products aim at eliminating acne issues once and for all. The entire range works in sync with each other so cant recommend just one from the kaya skin care acne range.
With a budget friendly price tag, the clean and clear moisturizer gets absorbed in the skin in no time at all and gives you a hydrated yet matte look. The product has 0.5% salicylic acid and helps in treating the acne problems. It controls the oil to a large extent and balances the pH the skin efficiently. The clean and clear face washes are already popular because of the salicylic content in them but very few moisturizers can boast of that so special attention to this one.
The medicated brand Cipla has a wonderful acne treating product with Salicylic Acid IP, 1%. An effective face wash in treating the acne prone skin and prevents the further breakouts. With the little quantity that goes a long way, It makes the skin squeaky clean and provides a matte look which controls the oil and shine for a considerable period of 5-6hrs. It is recommended by a lot of dermatologists so you can safely pick this up before giving your derma a visit. Cipla also has a skin cream under the same range.
An effective gel to reduce the appearance of acne, redness and dark spots and makes the skin visibly clear and spot free in no time. It has 1% Salicylic acid and also controls the oil to a large extent. Clinique products ate safe for sensitive skin so if you have the moolah then go ahead and pick this salicylic acid face wash.
This 3 in 1 product helps in deep cleansing the acne prone skin, helps in unclogging the pores reducing it to a large extent and keeps the shine at bay from the skin resulting a glorious mattified skin. The product has a creamy texture a skin soothing agent and with salicylic acid with 25% clay. It is allergy tested, Non-comedogenic, Soap-free, Paraben-free and Alcohol-free. Vichy is again safe like Clinique so if you have any doubts over the budget brands then Vichy is the answer.
The lakme clear pores face wash helps in fighting imperfections, reduce irritation and & prevent further breakouts for clear and mattified skin. With Finely milled granules that thoroughly cleanses the skin, it has a mild fragrance with soothing properties. It has salicylic acid and the scrub is Dermatologist tested, Non comedogenic and Hypoallergenic, hence, works extremely well for acne prone sensitive skin. Infact the face mask and face scrub from this range works very well for oily skin.
So these are some of my favourites. Although I should mention that salicylic acid is strong so if you have sensitive skin then stick to either Clinique, Vichy or Cipla. And dry skin girls please stay away from these products..you dont need them. If you have consulted your dermatologist recently then do let me know what products did they suggest you for acne.

Great list! I used the L'Oreal facewash in past. It was effective on acne but dried my skin out :(
