Top 10 Latest Twists to Traditional Indian Blouse Designs – Sonam Kapoor Wardrobe
By Contributor: Uzma
Saree has become an international clothing in past few years. It comes in different textures and patterns and 9 yards are pretty much enough to give you desired style. For today’s girl her blouse is the most commonly styled garment while wearing a saree. It’s effortless, unfussy and instantly adds new latest dimension to your saree. So I’m presenting some of the best modern blouse designs which can be done for your front, neck, back, sleeves, etc. And for illustrations I’ve chosen none other than Sonam Kapoor to show how one personality can carry all these blouse designs with slight adjustments. So let’s get started.
1. Sheer Blouse:

Chammak Challo drew our attention towards this trend and since then it’s in vogue. It covers the skin and unveils it in sultry style. In this picture Sonam Kapoor is seen wearing a Tarun Tihiliani creation in a ghazal album launch. Traditional U-shaped neckline is chosen for back. I must say this peekaboo thing makes you desirable.
2. Crop Top as Blouse:
![best blouse neck designs crop top](http://www.vanitynoapologies.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/best-indian-blouse-designs-crop- top.jpg)
Everyone is going for crop top these days whether with a skirt, palazzo or trousers. Then why shouldn’t we experiment with our saree by wearing a crop top blouse. Sonam Kapoor shows us how. She wears a boat neck blouse which doesn’t show upper body part only her toned tummy is visible which is Oh-so-classic. This is a Rimzin Dadu saree she wore while attending a painting exhibition.
3. Lace/ Net Blouse:

Lace spells vintage for me and Net is royal. Sonam Kapoor combines these two textures when she attended India’s Dancing Superstar. I must say colour combination is very tricky to wear without looking dull but she carries it off gracefully. Once again net is a break from regular georgette styles.
4. Halter Neck Design:

Yes! Yes! It’s only for daring ones. It’s a Shehla Khan printed saree and Sonam teamed it up with a beaded choli. Your whole arm and most part of the back is bare so you definitely need a toned body to carry this one.
5. Collar Blouses:

In first picture Sonam wears an orange saree with a grey peter pan collar design. See how a simple collar becomes a loud statement and everything else is kept simple to compliment the look.

In the second picture she wore a plain red chiffon saree with gold shimmer thin border paired with collar neck. It is a Tarun Tihiliani creation.
6. Off-shoulder Blouse:

Revealing your collar-bone is not everyone’s cup of tea. But that won’t stop us from giving it a thumbs-up. Treat for my eyes. Saree brings a grace to your personality and this off shoulder design adds an oomph factor.
7. Backless Blouse:

Its a Payal Singhal creation and Sonam carries it effortlessly. A neat hair up-do and it’s all set. Colour combination is off-beat and blouse has geometrical print on it. But what steals the whole look is that one-shoulder blouse. Admirable, I must say.
10. Blouses with Sleeves:

Not only texture and necklines makes it different but sleeves also give another facet to our regular designs. This is the most simple thing one can do. Here are two illustrations. First is Sonam wearing an aqua saree with quarter sleeve pattern. It’s a Manish Malhotra design. She how royal she looks!

What I’ve realised after writing the whole post is that saree is also an attire to take inspiration from. Whether it’s a gown, palazzo, mini dress or whatever. Go innovatibe and Be a Headturner!
