Yes I am talking about some homemade do it yourself protein hair masks for dull, damaged hair to get them shiny and silky. These are very easy to make and require only a few ingredients. The result would be fabulous, healthy, longer, thicker hair. How I know about these diy hair packs?
Let me tell you a short story. There was a friend of mine who was very popular because of her hair, all the girls were in awe of her, when she used to walk down the street with her hair open, people used to envy her and desired to get hair like her’s. One day I could not resist my temptation and asked the secret behind her magical thick tresses . She said me its her Dadimaa’s Secret!
She shared a list of home made hair packs which she used on a consistent basis to make her hair glossy and that attractive. Let me just share it with you people! Shhh….don’t disclose it, ‘it is a secret’!

Egg-Yogurt Protein Hair Pack
We are already aware how healthy eggs are when we take them on daily basis, they are not only protein rich but also help in maintaining a good metabolic rate. Now another amazing use of eggs can be done when it comes to hair care. You can easily make its hair pack and its one of the easiest DIY hair masks. If your hair is oily, use egg white. If it is dry, use the egg yolk and if it is normal, use both the white and the yolk. With an egg mix 5 spoons of yoghurt, apply this mixture on your hair and let it sit on your head for 30 minutes. Wash off with cool water and then apply shampoo and conditioner. It also prevents your hair from heat and styling damage.
Avocado-Coconut Milk Protein Hair Pack
This fruit is hyped by almost all the shampoo brands, no doubt due to its amazing qualities. You will make no bones about this mask, it is this effective. With Avocado there is another king ingredient in this mask that is the Coconut Milk, it has always been known for its amazing effects on skin, hair and weight loss and nowadays also used by so many celebrities and beauty experts. Mash a ripe avocado and mix 5 spoons of coconut milk. Add two spoons of olive oil to it and apply the mixture on your hair and scalp and wait for 30 minutes. This is an effective mask for hair growth but it also prevents hair from breakages and hair fall.
Mayonnaise-Egg Protein Hair Pack
As we know both mayonnaise and eggs are highly rich in protein content. This protein hair mask can do wonders to your hair and can stop hair fall completely. But before making this hair pack you need to be cautious about the quantity of both the ingredients. Mix the white of an egg with two spoons of mayonnaise. You may also like to add a spoon of yoghurt. Blend well and use this protein hair pack to tame your frizzy locks on a bad hair day. You will notice the few extra inches in your hair length in a few months only.
Triple nutrient protein hair pack
This protein hair pack has over dose of protein which will bring some great benefits to your hair. Composed of yoghurt, gram flour and eggs, this hair pack will give a brilliant shine to your hair and will also get you rid of frizzy and unmanageable hair. You can take one egg and break it in a bowl, add half a cup of curd and half a cup of gram flour. You can adjust the quantity as per the hair length. Mix them and use as hair pack on your hair and roots. Shampoo after 40-45 minutes.

In today’s fast moving life we hardly have time to do long elaborate DIYs but if you can pull this off, your beautiful hair will love you for that. It has 5 key ingredients which are 2 eggs, ½ cup olive oil, ½ hung curd, ½ cup honey and ½ flat beer/vinegar which will not only give your hair a super silky shine but will also prevent it from breaking in future. It will also improve your length if used on a consistent basis. What you need to do is beat eggs, once it is frothy add oil and blend it to get a creamy consistency, then add honey and curd and give a final whisk. Your protein hair pack is ready now. Now comb your hair and apply the hair pack with a brush, wrap your hair in an aluminium foil and wait for 30 minutes, then rinse with cold water and apply conditioner before shampooing your hair. And lastly mix flat beer or vinegar with water and rinse it off to restore shine in your hair. Pheww? Tired? Only by reading? Don’t worry it will be worth it in the end.

Here comes the king ingredient which alone also can give you some incredible benefits to your hair. Since the earlier times egg has been used in a lot of hair care products. Gram flour protein hair pack with shikkakai for hair fall

It is a natural cleanser and due to its mild properties it never washes away the essential oils from your scalp. Now mix it with gram flour and see the magic of this hair pack. Here you go, Take some shikkakai powder around 3 teaspoonfuls and add 3 teaspoonful of besan or gram flour. Make a paste of these two ingredients using some water. Apply this protein hair pack on the scalp and hair. Leave for one hour an then rinse with water. You will not require shampoo as besan is a natural hair cleanser and shikkakai as well. If you have a day off and in a mood to pull off a hair pack like this then you will thank me in the end, I am pretty sure about it! Take 2 eggs and beat them properly to make the texture thick. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and mix it. Use this protein hair pack on the hair and scalp. Leave it for 30 minutes then rinse off with cold water. Shampoo
will rinse off that eggs smell.
DIY Coconut milk and banana hair pack
Banana is rich in phosphorus and coconut milk in proteins thus this protein hair pack is best for stronger and beautiful hair but getting rid of that stickiness of that banana pulp can be a hell of a task. Still, it will be worth the effort in the end. To get those silk like hair you can make this pack easily at home, just take one banana and put that in the grinder along with half a cup of coconut milk. Blend them so that the banana gets a pulpy paste. Apply this hair pack on the hair and scalp. Let this pack sit on your head for 30 minutes and then rinse with cold water. This will also heal the dry damaged hair and you will also be prevented from hair breakage in future.
