  • Nice post! Henna is such an integral part of Indian Haircare! I remember using Jawed Habib Henna which used to impart intense reddish tinge to my dark hair, as if I have colored them!

    • Yeah, henna usage is popular in India from ancient times. Even my grandmother used it for thicker, stronger hair.

  • I prefer using the Biotique Bio Henna Fresh Powder Hair Color for Dark Hair. works best for me..

  • Nice compilation, i have used natures, vlcc and godrej nupur out of these, and like the nature's one best.

    • Thanks, Rajni. It was interesting to compile this list and also read in the comments of what everyone uses for coloring.

  • I use Godrej Nupur henna and I absolutely love it. Adds light colour and moisturises your tresses well.

    • Is nupur 100% safe and natural? Can if be used only for conditioning rather than coloring ......as I don't want to color my hair
Is there any other henna which is natural and cheap also?

  • I've known of henna powders and their properties to make hair strong, silky and bit colored. Most popular is the Nupur one. I guess they are the safer options when you want to color your hair and hate those harsh chemicals.
