Lakme Eyeconic White Kajal with Kareena Kapoor Inspired Makeup Look Tutorial
By Contributor: Shruti
I went WOAH when I saw the eyeconic white kohl advertisement by Lakme. Many people thought its too OTT but I loved Kareena Kapoor’s makeup so much that my eyes popped out looking like 2 little hearts (the way they show in the cartoons). Yes I still love cartoons. So I thought of trying the look and let’s say I nailed it 70% . I did a few modifications to suit my eye shape. I used Lakme eyeconic kohls (black and white), a gold eyeshadow, a liquid liner and some mascara. Let’s begin with the tutorial.
Step 1. Prep your eyes by applying a primer on the lids and concealer around the eyes.
Step 2. Apply a pinkish nude or a golden nude eyeshadow all over the eye lid till the browbone.
Step 3. Line your upper lashline with Lakme black kajal and tight line your eyes. I forgot to do it. I tend to forget some essential part and realize later when I see the pictures. Must double the almond intake.
Step 4. Now using eyeconic white, line your lower lashline and drag it out from the outer corner of your eyes. It needs to be lined heavily. I modified a little here by making a V on the inner corners of my eyes. Since the white kajal is too creamy, it is impossible to draw a neat line on the lower lashline no matter how careful you are. But you don’t need to as we are going to use a a liner along it.
Step 5. Now using a liquid or a gel eye liner, draw an outline to the white kajal starting from the inner V. It’s just like outlining the picture drawings we used to do in art class. I used a Lakme liquid liner.
Step 6. Mascara mascara mascara! Apply loads of mascara.
Step 7. I’ve used the same white kohl to highlight my browbone. Just draw 1-2 little lines below the arch and blend using your fingers.
Step 8: This is how the final eye makeup looks like. And done dana done!
A quick recap for you girls
The face needs to be neutral because the eyes are way way way too bold. Use a peach blush and a nude lipstick to finish the look. Also I’ve highlighted by cheeks using eyeconic white. It works great as a highlighter. For my lips I used Lakme 9 to 5 Coffee Command
.
Statutory warning: Never go out supporting this look. It looks good on camera but it is so not wearable. My whole family was scared when they saw me!
