20 Celebrity Appearances at Oscars 2015 Red Carpet: Best and Worst Dressed

By Contributor: Uzma

As soon as 87th Academy Awards aka Oscars 2015 took place in Hollywood I literally went crazy. First of all they have so many parties, pre-oscars, post- Oscars and what not! Then keeping tab on who wore what, made by whom baffled me pretty much. Forget everything, here I’m only giving a brief description on what was worn on Oscar Red Carpet. And believe me it’s not at all brief!

P.S : I didn’t see it, only read a lot but I’m dying to watch Neil Patrick Hariss’ antiques!

Emma Stone:

Let’s start it with Emma. Full sleeves sequenced gown in green colour with a thigh high slit. Gown was by Elie Saab. She did bright lips and side swept hair.

Rosamund Pike:

I still remember her as sizzling Jane from Pride and Prejudice (2005). She wore a red Givenchy gown which beautifully complimented her skin tone. She kept her makeup neutral.

Keira Knightley:

Now follows my Elizabeth Bennet! She chose an embroidered Valentino gown in beige. I liked her perfectly contoured face and soft mauve lips. But dress was tacky.

Gwyneth Paltrow:

wore a Ralph and Russo off shoulder gown with beautiful jewelry.  She had nude makeup with sleek hair.

Meryl Streep:

she looked unique and classic in Lanvin separates which was quite inspired by menswear. She accessorized it with earrings, clutch (by Salvatore Ferragamo) and black heels.

Jennifer Aniston:

A glittering Versace gown which was dangerously see-through. She was looking stunning, no doubt. And did you see Aniston lifting up Emma Stone at Oscars? They’re so cute.

Marion Cotillard:

wore a Dior gown. Dress is pretty and I like polka dot texture but it’s ill fitted. Marion could have done better for her enviable figure.

Scarlett Johansson:

in Atelier Versace gown which had a crystal Swarovski collar. This colour is not meant to be worn on Red Carpet. It’s totally weird. I like her makeup though.

Cate Blanchett:

she put on a Maison Martin Margiela gown. She looked magnificent. Her jewelry was by Tiffany & Co, loving it!

Jennifer Lopez:

JLo wore a dramatic Elie Saab ball gown which was high on fashion quotient and glitter of sequence, pearl, stones etc. Front was dangerously low and she used a leather belt to accentuate her waist. She completed her look with soft brown eyes and pink lips. Her clutch was by Salvatore Ferragamo.

Dakota Johnson:

Hottest star of the season showed some coloured side of her personae other than Grey. She turned up in a bright red Saint Laurent high-slit gown and forevermark jewelry.

Her Versace gown was delightful. Colour, cut, drape everything was ideal. She wore an earring, neck piece and ring along with it.

she wore a beautiful custom gown from Calvein Klein. It was studded with pearls and ivory beads. Halter neck suits her petite figure so much.

wore a Vera Wang gown in beige colour. Gown had scoop neck and quarter sleeves. She looked gorgeous.

Lady Gaga:

More than her gown or appearance her red gloves got attention. They were compared to various hilarious things. Gaga wore a custom Alaia couture. Since it’s lady Gaga’s, I won’t comment on it.

Nicole Kidman:

she selected a Louis Vuitton off shoulder shimmery gown. Like everybody else it also had a thigh- high slit. I didn’t like how red belt strike against pale golden colour. She looks pretty nevertheless.

  1. You don’t really comment on the outfits like I thought you would you just describe them that’s really it. If you want more attention for your site you need to go into what you really feel, holding back nothing and then edit later because here your just being petty and stating the obvious. People want to know your opinion and what you like and what you don’t like. This is a best and worst dressed so you should make two different post with the two different lists. You should also make the way you present your website cooler to keep your readers engaged because I was just about to fall asleep.

  2. When you say it’s Lady Gaga so you won’t comment who gives a fuck just say your opinion it doesn’t matter the star. It could be Oprah for gods sake but it’s your opinion and that’s what we’re here for to learn your opinion and what you think about the outfit not the person.

  3. When you say ‘she’s pretty nevertheless’. Say why she’s pretty don’t say she’s just pretty, State your opinion on why you think she’s pretty. Do you hate the outfit? Do you think it would look better on someone else?

  4. Maybe you should do polls as well maybe that would keep your readers engaged maybe even make up little segments to make your website unique. You want people to notice your website, to check back to see what you post next. To mention you on their social medias so your website can get out their. Change your website up do post that your readers won’t expect. Make other crowds come on to your website don’t just stick with one crowds. If you want Emo’s to notice your site do a post that might interest that crowd. Maybe even sell products on your website. Make a social media for your website even.
