The Most Unbelievable Look By Aishwarya Rai at Cannes 2013!
Just 5hrs ago I wrote the post on her Elie Saab outfit and said “It didn’t make me go omg“. Well I take my words back. I’m so stunned that this made me blog at 1 in the night or I will forget what I’ve to say! Honestly I thought she had lost the spark. But this bold red lip makes me think otherwise. The ever so safe-and-diplomatic-Bachchan-bahu never really impressed me. FACT. I’m not one of those who throw brickbats at her for putting on weight. I’m not perfect and I don’t expect the same from anybody else. But her problem is the same as
Like Anuradhakar pointed out in the last post, she sticks to smokey eyes and nude lips every bloody time! I almost started hating nude lips because of her….she made them look so meh.
She dressed in this all black suit with flare pants for L’Oreal interviews. The little lace detailing at the neck and sleeves takes the outfit to a whole different level. The perfect base makeup, bold scarlet red lip and matching red nails provide a nice contrast to the black. The blow dried locks pull everything together.
The red lipstick is probably from L’Oreal so I’m not gonna make my bets on the Mac red lipsticks. I will update this post with the exact shade name as soon as I hear anything.
This was another look of her that I liked. It was on Day 1 before walking the red carpet. Let’s call it cooling-off-perfectly-made-up-on-the-hotel-terrace look. And once again its the famous Martinez Terrace!
So is this probably a one-off thing? Probably Yes, because at the bottom of her heart she is still an Anarkali
In my opinion she should stick to this make-up artist of her’s. Makes her look 100 times better than her otherwise yawn appearances.
Updated- My friend Shruti whatsapped me within minutes of the blog post going live “Dammit I want Aishwarya’s red lippy!!” Alright so now it has become a matter of national emergency.
