Rimmel London Lasting Finish Mate Kate Moss lipstick 110
By Contributor: Tejinder Kaur
I recently hauled 3 Kate Moss lipsticks as most of you know. The range consists of five different lipsticks in nudes, bright and vampy shades. This matte range comes in a red tube instead of black which distinguishes it from the regular range .The shade which I will review and swatch today is 110, a pink coral shade. Its available in 10 shades from 101 to 110.
Rimmel Claims: Be Iconic – Make the Ordinary Extraordinary Sumptuously Rich Matte Colour with a sublime comfort. Ruby Powder enriched formula. Intense velvet colour all day!
Kate Moss Lipstick 110 is a matte neon coral shade which would look killer with almost all outfits, especially with a blacks on night outs. It is perfect for spring/summer. It is a super pigmented, absolutely gorgeous shade and would suit fair to medium Indian skin tones. It provides full coverage and opacity in a couple of swipes.
As a matte lipstick I found the texture very creamy which glides smoothly on lips and feels effortless. It does dry out your lips after sometime, so always apply a balm underneath. It tends to settle in my lip lines which is definitely a minus point but on the positive side, it is really comfortable and lasts a good 4 hours on my lips before needing reapplication. The one thing more which I don’t like is the taste and fragrance but it fades away quickly so not a big problem.
Overall I am happy with the purchase and will be buying more from this range. For the price, I would say this is an absolute bargain. The colour pay off is excellent. Although its marketed as a matte lipstick but to be honest I don’t feel its totally matte, rather a semi-matte with satin finish. I know a number of girls tend to stay away from matte lipsticks as it can highlight the imperfections on the lips and also dry out your lips but a little lip scrubbing can take care of everything. The staying power is fabulous and when it wears off it don’t look awful as it fades evenly.
Pros of the Kate Moss lipstick 110:
- The colour is a beautiful pink coral with warm tones.
- Very pigmented. Goes opaque in a swipe.
- Long lasting. You don’t need to reapply for a long time.
- The finish is semi-matte and applies smoothly.
Cons of the Kate Moss lipstick:
- Fragrance is not pleasant
- Dries your lips, so lipbalm underneath is recommended.
- Tends to settle into the lip lines due to the matte finish.
- Exfoliated lips are a must
Price: £5.49 (I guess this range is not yet available in India to buy online but you can check the Rimmel London stores)
VNA Rating: 3.5/5
Final verdict: Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick 110 is a stunning coral with pink undertone and makes heads turn. It’s matte lipstick with creamy texture and glides on smoothly but it does make my lips a bit dry after a little while but with a lip scrub and lip balm it works great. It can’t survive the meals but lasts atleast for 4 hours and leaves pretty even tint after fading off. I really adore this lipstick being a vibrant shade and one of my favourites!
