Real Technique Expert Face Brush review

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

By Contributor: Sushmita M

How many makeup brushes do you own? We are so crazy about makeup brushes this days that it doesn’t matter if we hardly use them daily but happily stock them away! It was a crazy Real Techniques phase last month on facebook when I saw reviews by every other beauty blogger and youtube guru and everyone was desperately ordering Real Techniques brushes online from different sites. But I have got no personal credit card so I wasn’t able to place any online international orders. Finally I saw an angle came and took pity on me. I got to know that a friend was ordering RT Brushes and I joined her. Here is my review on the RT Expert Face Brush by Samantha Chapman. She is one of the Pixiwoo sisters who are makeup artists and have their own Youtube Channel: Pixiwoo. The RT brushes are

by far the best brushes I’ve used!

Real Techniques Claims: Ultra firm and broad for application and blending of cream or liquid foundation. Look pixel-perfect even in harsh light, ultra-plush, synthetic bristles are hand-cut and 100% cruelty-free, self-standing for easy storage, extended aluminum handle is light

Where to order Real Techniques brushes online in India?

As I mentioned above, I was getting crazy seeing others ordering Real Technique brushes and considering the fact that I don’t have any single proper makeup brush made me so frustrated. Seeing the price of MAC and Sigma brushes I was feeling quite low. I got a chance and placed my order with my friend. We placed this order from iherb.com which is a recommended website from Real Technique girls and mentioned on its official website too. But sadly iherb always attracts huge customs which means you need to pay shipping + custom charges to get them delivered to you. You can check out another website: feelunique.com.

Texture:  The bristles are made of taklon synthetic bristle which feels very soft against the skin. Gives you pixel perfect finish in harsh lightening too. The brush is densely packed and gives smooth application even on rough surface. The size of the brush is not so large or not so small..I would say perfect to hold and apply. This Expert face Brush is designed to apply cream to Liquid foundations and blends like a dream. I saw pixiwoo girls Sam and Nick applying blushes and powders  as well with this brush in their tutorials, I am yet to try that. I guess that’s how it got its name – Expert Face Brush!

Usage: Execellent in applying and blending Cream to Liquid Foundations, cream and powder blushes and even face powders when you are in a rush. Love it!!

Packaging: The body is made of copper golden aluminum handle and has a velvet black base. The packaging is quite sleek and easy to hold. The base has flat back velvetty surface which helps the brush stand right upwards.

  • The price , Rs.500–600 ( excluding shipping and customs)
  • The quality, soft bristles, Synthetic Bristles gives smooth application.
  • 100% Cruelty- free.
  • Perfect blending without any harsh lines.
  • Cleaning is easy and dries up faster.
  • Didn’t loose its shape, haven’t shed bristles yet.
  • Little product needed, hence no wastage!
  • Cheaper than Mac, Sigma, Yokohoma and other high end makeup brushes in markets.

What I don’t like about the RT Brushes:

  • Availability!
