NYX Luscious Lipgloss Palette In Shade 02 The Naturals
By Contributor: Sushmita
Who doesn’t like to have a perfect luscious pout, yes I was a lipgloss girl before I entered into this blogging world. Kohl on eyes and gloss on lips can make my day. Now let me begin how I came across this NYX Lipgloss Palette. It was during the days when I wanted NYX products so badly that I ended up picking 2 NYX Cream Blushes, 3 powder Blushes and a NYX lip palette. I am crazy about blushes but that’s a different story. I will review them very soon as well. But today I will review and swatch the NYX lip gloss Palette in Shade 02- Naturals. NYX is a US Cosmetics brand which has a wide range of professional colour cosmetics and accessories.
There are many shades available in the lip gloss palette.
- Red Rediscovered
- The Naturals
- The Perfect Everyday Colours
- The Nudes
- Dance In Africa
- Pinky Promise
- Sweet Oranges
- Champagne Sparkle
- Cougar and loving it!
- The Perfect Smoking Looks
NYX Claims: Nothing! Yes nothing is mentioned on the palette. Its does nothing for the lips I would say!
Directions: Not mentioned. Its contains a brush inside the palette, you can use that but its crap. It does nothing.
Colours and Pigmentation: Each palette has 5 set of colours as you can see in the photos. This palette The Naturals is truly neutral when it comes to shades. The shades are not at all pigmented and just have lots and lots of glitter- Golden and Silver Glitter- which I hate the most. They stay put for 1-2 hrs max and after that start fading and leave behind lots and lots of shimmer on lips which is very annoying. I tried removing it with a cleanser but its really hard to remove. Obviously no one would like to look like a disco ball with golden and silver glitter particles on lips right? I feel other palettes are far better pigmented and smooth texture wise.
The shades: From left to right
Muted brown with shimmer
Light Brown with shimmer
Light baby pink with shimmer
Bright pink mauve shade with shimmer (this one is better pigmented than the rest four)
Medium Brown shade which looks alike shade # 2 (also has shimmer in it)
The packaging is sleek and handy, easily fits into my purse handbag. The back side of the palette has a black base with a transparent lid in front. It has got a mirror too which is quite good for application when you are outside. The palette has 5 set of colours which you can mix and match according to your creativity and mood. Now the bad thing is it has got a lip brush which is quite useless. It feels poky on lips. I hate it!
Let’s check the photos and swatches:
What I like about this Palette:
- Not Tested On Animals
- The shades is useless for me. But if you like glitter and shimmer then it’s the one for you!
- I am sure other shades are far better than this – The Naturals.
What I don’t like about this Palette:
- Useless Applicator
- Shades are not at all pigmented.
- Lots of shimmer
- Not moisturizing
Availability and Price:
At Cherryculture.com – available for $6 (i.e. Rs. 366)
In India At Medplusbeauty.com – available for Rs 900 (thrice the price)
VNA Ratings: 2/5
Final Verdict: Do I need to say it? I will not recommend this palette to anyone. But yeah you can easily try out the other shades in these palettes. They are far better.
