The site I’m talking about here is called Make Up Shades. They have brands like Maybelline, Lakme, Colorbar, Garnier and the likes. All the brands they have are our desi brands. Here is what I ordered:
Maybelline gel liner, 2 Colorbar Velvet Matte lipsticks and a Soft Touch lipstick. I also got a pack of wet wipes as a free gift which I forgot to photograph.
You see how Colorbar dominates my haul? Simply because there are very few Indian websites that offer Colorbar. Their official site doesn’t have discounts and charge for shipping. So, in that way this is a far better option. I’ve been dying to get my hands on the Colorbar blushes, but the one I wanted was out of stock. I asked them and they assured it would be back soon. So, may be I will haul ..no.. I didn’t say anything. Shut up Vanity!
I placed my order on 11th October 2011 and got a mail with my invoice. A couple of days later the courier company called to confirm and delivered it on 15th October. The shipping time is not too great since they are based in Gurgaon but they say the courier guys delayed it. I’m not sure but let’s give them the benefit of doubt. The package came bubble wrapped in a cardboard box. It’s nothing fancy, which I’ve no issues with. Come on we are all going to throw it away anyway.
Apart from that I like everything. I like the easy to use interface. They have discounts on all the products in the store. I love that they have Colorbar. Though they don’t stock each and every item of the brands they offer, but they have the products that I care for. Like they have almost all the shades in the Colorbar Velvet Matte and Soft Touch range. They have half a dozen shades in Maybelline Colorsensational range and Lakme Satin Enrich. They had almost all the blushes in Colorbar except one, but I now see that only one is available. So, may be they would be re-stocked later. But I do wish they stock up on more and more brands, having half a dozen brands kinda limits it. They give freebies
So, in short I wish they stock up on more brands and improve on the shipping time. Apart from that, no issues. Happy Shopping!
