NOTD: Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania Pink Champagne
By Contributor: Aditi
Ur my pumpkin pumpkin, hello honey bunny..you girls remember this song.. and how it almost created a wave amongst Indians. The same way I have seen people going gaga over these awesome Maybelline glitter mania nail paints that are one of the best glitter nail polishes available in India. I got the most beautiful shade from the entire Color Show range – Pink Champagne. This review was supposed to been written 4-5 days earlier but I wanted to give these nail paints a trial to see how long is the staying power, how long does it stay without chipping etc. so that I can give you a fair idea about durability rather than just first impressions.
So coming to this awesome nail paint that is such reasonably priced at Rs.125. For the color payoff it gives and the texture..I feel the price is just right. I grabbed the Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania Pink Champagne shade (that does not actually seem pink to me) but whatever colour it is its ok for me and I like it (Before everything else I would like a disclaimer that guys I have real teeny tiny nails that are just so narrow so please excuse me for the swatches)
Moving on to the physical and chemical details, seriously this is one of those reasonably priced nail polishes that has glitter particles so evenly distributed in the bottle so every time you dip the brush into the bottle you get even amount of bling on your brush. Not like those nailpaints where in one swipe you get a chunk of glitter on the brush and in other dip you dont get any glitter. So this is very important for me when considering glitter polishes.
Second very appreciable thing is that the glitter size is just PERFECT. I mean its not too small and neither is it too big so that when you apply it just starts to fall out. Also I noticed that it has both shimmer particles and glitter not like some nail paints that have a transparent base with glitter particles that looks so very uneven on application if not applied properly so yeah even your little sisters and daughters can apply it and look as pro as you do.
For color payoff I would say that if you want a soft sheen go for one coat of Maybelline Glitter Mania Pink Champagne and if you want to look like yo I am a glitterati girl! go dab on two coats and you would be good to go. For reference the swatches on my mom’s nails are two coats. I had to use mom’s NOTD because my nails are so chotu that you guys would hardly make out anything.
VNA Rating: 5/5
As such did not dislike anything from this Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania Range but I would say the black and the lavender color did not turn up to the mark. Infact in my opinion the shade Stary Nights – black nail paint with silver glitter looked OTT! Sorry to those who love these shades. Also girls please share your favourites from this range.
