Review, Swatches, Dupe, Before After, Price of MAC Studio Finish Skin Corrector Pure Orange
This is my first post on VNA. Finally I made it! As we all know eyes are most essential part of face but this can even let you down by those stubborn under-eye Dark circles. I have slight under eye shadows and sometimes they look okay but these days cause of lack of sleep they have gone worse. If I try applying concealer directly onto them they turn greyish and look awful. Thats where the orange corrector from MAC called MAC Studio Finish Skin Corrector Pure Orange comes in. Suggested by MUA at the store. I will explain what orange correctors are will review and swatch this one from MAC.
Getting rid of those stubborn dark circles is such a pain and they don’t disappear overnight. You need to follow a strict tedious routine to get them out. Me being a lazy bum I can’t follow all those hectic routines. So for a quick fix after I experimented with a number of things like light concealers, dark concealers and even with orange and red lipsticks which I had epic failures with, I went to MAC store and found this beauty called MAC Studio Finish Skin Corrector
What is a Color Corrector?
Color corrector is a makeup product which is useful for camouflaging any flaws, pigmentation, unevenness in the skin. It is available in different colors like orange, pink, green and purple. Orange color corrector neutralizse dark tones like grey/blue/purple and let us flaunt our flawless skin.
MAC Claims: A specially tinted, full coverage and long-wearing water-resistant corrector. Goes on smooth and dries to a natural finish. This emollient-rich formula is unique in that it’s highly pigmented and only requires a dab to correct discoloration and conceal tattoos, dark circles and blemishes.
My Review of MAC Corrector in shade Pure Orange:
Packaging: This comes in the same classic MAC packaging in black tub like container. But as its a tub container, it becomes messy and unhygienic each time you dig your fingers into the mac concealer tub to get the product out.
Texture: It is creamy and easy to blend. I usually use real techniques detailed brush to deposit the mac color corrector under my eye only on affected area and blend with real techniques sponge or with ring finger.
Application: After moisturizing my skin I use a tiny amount of orange color corrector and apply only on the dark circles. If applied outside it will leave an orange tint to your skin. I blend it all to neutralize the dark tones and later I apply MAC prolong-wear concealer and blend everything together and set it with Kryolan translucent powder.
It does what it claims. The studio finish corrector cancels out the darkness under my eyes and enhance the look, it is not just meant for correcting the under eye circles and pigmentation but you can even use it to hide the facial hair around lip and chin area. Orange neutralizes darker tones and later use your concealer to cover everything. It is super great, worth the money, will last long and give maximum coverage and that’s what MAC products have been doing for years and years. sirf naam hi kafi hai!
What I like about MAC Studio Finish Skin Corrector in Pure Orange:
- Cancels out dark circles and pigmentation
- Contains SPF
- Easy to travel with
- Medium coverage
- Doesn’t crease
- Good staying power
- Superbly pigmented
- A little goes along way
- Easy to blend
What I don’t like about MAC Studio Finish Skin Corrector in Pure Orange:
- Tub packaging is messy
Price in India: Rs.1400 for 6gm

Conclusion: A must have product if you deal with bad dark circles. Worth buying and does what it claims, and the product will last for ages and ages cause you just need a pea size amount to do the magic.
