I am going to share my review and swatch on a product that is famous in the blogging world for being the best for concealing your dark circles; you won’t regret buying it! I have dark eye circles which while not extremely dark, still look darker than my cheeks or face thereby taking the sheen away from the makeup. So I went to the MAC store to get some products for my dark circles and MUA tried the NW35 Select Cover Up Concealer which matched my skin. She recommended it despite me using the NW35 Sculpt Foundation. Contrary to what I had read that it needs to be a tone or two darker to your original skin tone, I liked the end result as it matches my skin, so no complaints.
MAC Claims: Liquid camouflage for the skin. Texture-free, virtually invisible. Comes in a tube. Blend in. Brightens and Lightens dark areas, erases spots, evens-out skin tones. Makes skin flaw-free. Use pre-foundation, or on its own. 11 shades. Don’t reveal it, conceal it!!
MAC Select Cover Up NW35 is a creamy sandy beige colour which gives over all natural effect. It helps me to hide my dark circles, matches perfectly with my under-eye-area, blends very well and provides good coverage. My eyes look refreshed too.
Texture is very light liquid and not sticky at all. But it dries quickly so you have to blend it out immediately.Pigmentation is superb as a small drop gives enough coverage.
Packaging is very elegant too. It comes in a very cute tiny tube. It has a small nozzle and cap, all I need is to squeeze it and a small drop is enough to give perfect coverage and once absorbed it lightens dark areas and makes skin looks natural. It doesn’t look cakey, flakey or patchy. It is very travel friendly as will easily fit in your purse.
Staying Power is good too as it lasts full day, doesn’t settle in to fine lines under my eyes and no need of touch ups. Oily skin girls need to set it with some compact powder but it will stay longer on their skin too. It can be applied with the fingers or with a concealer brush. Personally I prefer applying with fingers as it gives good coverage and blends it very well. It gives a matte finish which I really liked. For dry skin you must apply a moisturiser before. It comes in a wide range of shades for many skin tones. I do use an orange corrector from MAC to give full coverage to my dark area as recommended by MUA.
Let’s look at the photos and swatches:

Over-all Rating: 4.5 /5
Final Verdict: MAC Select Cover Up Concealer is great and I am glad I bought it. It is a wonderful base product which conceals dark spots, uneven skin tone and any discolorations or dark circles. It is very good in terms of coverage, staying power and pigmentation. Undoubtedly one of the best in the market and one of my favourites for sure. It comes in many shades so you can easily match with your skin tone. It has a tendency to appear a little patch on dry skin but a good moisturizer can solve this problem too. I am quite impressed with packaging too. Texture wise it is divine as its easily buildable, blendable and never looks cakey, patchyor settles in to fine lines. It gives very good coverage and an over all natural effect. So I would highly recommend this concealer.
