I’m sure you must have heard the Airtel jingle “kyunki har ek friend zaruri hota hai“. The ad shows a friend you can call in the middle of night, the hangout wala friend, the pass-your-time friend, the dukh dard batne wala friend, phone wala friend….basically friends which you can fall back upon. If eyeshadows were to be my friends, the L’Oreal Infallible eyeshadow is very rightly named. It is the friend who is “Infallible”. And now let’s check its Infallibility meter!

L’Oreal Paris Claims:
ENHANCED COLOUR INTENSITY: Infallible Eyeshadows contain an exceptionally high level of colour pigments, for an intense colour finish. Additional binders (oils), coat and magnify the colour pigments revealing beautiful shimmer and maximized colour.
24 HOUR HOLD (CREASE-PROOF AND WATERPROOF): The colour adheres to the eyelid as durably and comfortably as a second skin. The Infallible formula stands up to the average woman’s 11,000 blinks per day. It also resists to rubbing, creasing and does not run into the fine lines around the eyes.
A VELVETY, SENSUAL TEXTURE: With a formulation that lies between the comfort of a cream and the ease of application of a powder, Infallible eyeshadow contains an exceptionally high proportion of binders (oils) for the softest, most velvety eyeshadow. The eyeshadow melts gently from the fingertips to the eyelid on application. The result is a rich and satiny look.
The colour All Night Blue is a deep intense jewel blue. Normally there are two problems with a blue eyeshadow. If it tries to be deep, it crosses the think line between deep blue and blackened blue and if it tries to be blue, it lacks in pigmentation. But this one has none of the above mentioned problems. It is a deep blue without being black and doesn’t lack in the pigmentation department either. It flatters my brown eyes a lot and I’ve seen some foreign bloggers rocking it on their hazel/grey/blue eyes. The shade is similar to the Super Luminizer Eyeliner Dark Sapphire
The Infallible Eyeshadows come in a glass tub with a plastic stopper which acts like a presser. The eyeshadows are neither loose nor pressed…its a cross between the two. They are dense pigments which are tightly packed together. So this presser keeps them pressed after every use.
This lasting power has to be the best part about this eyeshadow. It stays on and on. I have tested it at maximum for 14hrs without primer and it was still there as good as new. It only started creasing after 12hrs but the intensity and colour pay off was still fresh. So that makes it my longest staying eyeshadow till date. With primer it will last more without creasing.
Also these are very easy to apply. I’ve tried it with a flat top brush and fingers and it worked both ways. But I still prefer my fingers since its more fun to use that way! You can apply them wet with a damp brush and the colour comes out more lively that way.
When these were released in the west long time before they were released here, a lot of YouTube gurus compared these with Giorgio Eyes To Kill Intense Eyeshadows. I’ve not used Giorgio so can’t comment but but they do look a lot similar in packaging, texture and staying power. These are part of the Cannes L’Or Electric collection.

So is it for you? Yes if you want a blue that’s deep, royal and bejeweled. The Infallible eyeshadows are some of the best eye shadows in terms of quality, pigmentation and longevity. I’ve tested them for 14hrs on myself without fading and only minor creasing without primer. I feel they can last even more and with a primer the creasing problem can be solved. I totally recommend it.
