Review, Swatches, Price, Buy Online L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick Fever Brown

I hope all of you are doing super duper well. I have a question for you all. What do you guys think of holographic colours? You know..the kinds where the shade looks Colour X in one instant and the minute you look at it from a different angle it suddenly transforms to a completely different Colour Y. The review and swatches in question today is on the L’Oreal Colour Riche Intense Lipstick in shade Fever brown which incorporates the Holographic phenomenon pretty well. Lets take it further.
L’Oreal Claims: Color Riche is a texture care, enriched with antioxidant Vitamin E, Omega 3 and 6, to regenerate the beauty of lips. With its all active ingredients, Color Rich protects and conditions lips every day by helping them restructure. L’Oreal Paris Laboratories have selected the color pigments of the purest and finest for better dispersion of the color. They dress up your lips with a refined brilliance remains intact throughout the day, without spinning or tarnish.
My Review of L’Oreal Paris Fever Brown:
Product & Packaging: The loreal lipstick comes encased in a Shiny Gold click open case with colour and Shade Details at the bottom of the stick. Packaging is pretty standard and old school as far as attractiveness of the product is concerned. The shiny gold case is prone to catching fingerprints very easily.
As I opened the brown lipstick, I was hit with a very strong fragrance. In sync with the name of the range, the product fragrance was definitely Intense and smells of Roses. For all those who are okay with strong fragrances, this might not be a point in consideration but personally, I am hypo allergic to strong fragrances rendering this product very difficult to apply on my lips. I tried to wear it for a while in order to get some decent lip swatches but the very first swatch itself resulted in a series of sneezes which lasted quite a while.
Texture: As far as the Texture of the color riche lipstick is concerned, it is very Creamy and Hydrating due to the presence of Vitamin E. The colour pay off is good although the lipstick tends to swipe lighter when swatched as compared to its Stick Form. The pigmentation is okay and not as good as it can be when we compare Creamy Lipsticks in general.
Colour and Suitability: Okay the best way to explain this colour is by the equation: Maroon + Brown + Minuscule Pieces of Shimmer = L’Oreal Fever Brown!!
The Loreal Fever Brown lipstick has a bronzish finish to it with undertones of reddish maroon. The shimmer is not gritty and applies evenly when swatched. At least 2-3 swipes of the lipstick are needed in order to get a finished look. A bright colour which is not for everyday wear but can be used for special events or when you want a dolled up look. As far as wear ability and versatility is concerned, I wouldn’t say it fares very well. In my opinion this shade will tend to suit medium complexioned people way better as compared to lighter complexions. The interesting bit about this colour is that it has a very Holographic Effect – one minute it looks completely Maroon with a bronzish sheen and the next instant from a different angle it looks completely Brown.
Durability: I tested the durability of this fever brown lipstick on a friend who’s lips were non pigmented and normal. The lipstick lasted for about 3-4 hours and survived a light meal in between. However the trouble began when it started fading out. The glitter in the product tended to cling on to the lips while the colour evaporated in patches, leaving behind a very un neat and unruly look on the lips. The shimmer clings to the lips and is very difficult to remove without a proper make up remover. Even face wash was unable to budge the stains.

- Semi Sheer Pigmentation
- Strong Fragrance that can be a put off to some people
- Fades out unevenly
- Difficult to remove
- Not a very Wearable or Versatile colour

My Take: The only circumstance where I would recommend this lipstick is either if you are looking for this exact colour to match a particular outfit or if you are someone who like brown lipsticks (and brown lipsticks with tough to remove shimmer particles at that!!) . Although the texture of the lipstick is great and it is easy to apply, I am not a fan of this particular shade and given the price would definitely not recommend this lipstick.
