Look of the Day: Indian Wedding Guest Makeup and Hair

My Khoobsurat Moment #2

If you follow me on my facebook and instagram then you must know I’ve been posting a lot of selfies recently. I cannot help it! Everytime I dress up and go out I feel like doing all sorts of crazy OOTD and LOTD posts but since I don’t have time for that so I satisfy myself with sefies. Maybe you will start seeing some OOTDs soon.

Recently I went to this wedding and wore this halter kurti. Actually its one of the handful of Indian ethnic wear I own so I keep recycling it. I wore it this time for around 5th

or 6th time and I still plan on continuing it because:

  • I wear it to different places so its always new for the people I meet
  • Its halter baby! You don’t get such pretty halter suits that easily, do you?

This time I went lighter on my lipstick and instead concentrated on the eyes. The eye makeup doesn’t show up too well in these pics but I wore a gold eyeshadow as an overall lid shade and used a rose pink shade in the crease. I also bronzed and highlighted my face. For my hair I didn’t have to do much. Just made a pouf (no backcombing) and let it loose. Ever since I coloured my hair at home with L’Oreal Paris Casting Crème Gloss  it has become even more shiny (more details here) so I don’t spend a lot of time on doing my hair and utilize that extra time to sleep more. It turned out so beautifully that nearly everyone in my whatsapp asked me for a makeup breakdown! Even people who don’t message me in the normal case which made me feel khoobsurat. An evening spent catching up with your relatives and eating all that free ka khaana is all you to need to feel khoobsurat and happy. Check more hair styling trends here .

PS – Do you also eat light during the day when you have a wedding to attend at night? I do and yet get full just after snacks! I have a tiny stomach. So now the new strategy is to go straight to the desserts and skip everything else. I swear I had 6 different varieties of cake in front of me once but I was so full that I couldn’t eat them!

  1. Very good website you have here but I was wondering if
you knew of any forums that cover the same topics talked about here?

I’d really like to be a part of group where I can get advice from
other knowledgeable people that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
    Thanks a lot!
