You must have noticed the onset of bath products here specially the shower gels. Actually I’m secretly a hippo. Really. I can spend all my day in a bath tub. Come on don’t you all wish for that kind of life? So naturally I hoard all kinds of aromatic candles, essential oils, bath scrubs, shower gel..you got the idea. And once in a while I like to treat myself with a luxury bath…which involves anything expensive!
|L’occitane Shower Jelly|
L’Occitane Claims: The unique texture of Délice des Fruits Shower Jelly, which transforms into a rich and creamy foam when combined with water, gently cleanses the skin. The body is left perfumed with the sweet and sparkling fragrance of candied fruit zests, including lemon and clementine essential oils.
This L’Occitane shower jelly came out with the Delice des Fruits collection earlier this year. And my love for citrusy and mandarin fragrances is not unknown here (I’m talking about that lime blast shower gel I reviewed last week). The shower jelly smells of fresh lemons. Don’t be mislead by the “jelly” part. The consistency is thicker than ordinary shower gels but it still not something you could call “jelly”. I actually like it that way because it is more easy to spread. This foams up nicely but doesn’t dry out the skin. The fragrance doesn’t linger on for long and its gone in an hour or so (WHERE on earth can I find a shower gel whose smell actually lasts).
I use it on special festivals and occasions like 1st day of college, first date, best friend’s birthday, own birthday..luxury you see ;) It does something to your mood that you actually start feeling lucky…..weird.

Price: Rs.995 for 250ml
So is it for you? This one was a limited edition so I don’t know if you can find this now but L’Occitane shower gels in general are nice. They smell good, foam up nicely and keep your skin soft and smooth. I so wish they change the formula so that the amazing fragrance can last all day. These are expensive but you can pamper yourself once in a while.
