Inglot YSM Cream Foundation Review and Swatches
By Contributor: Sushmita M
While everyone raved about MAC foundations I switched to something different. Inglot is a colour cosmetics brand which is made in Poland. This Inglot ccream foundation has been ranked as 3.9 out of 5 on makeupalley which is considerably a good ranking. People with normal to dry skin score it as one of their favourite foundation. I was not interested in foundations before because I was always a BB cream and pressed powder girl. I had been to Inglot Kolkata ( ohh my city I hate you like I love ya love ya love ya ) many times, brought blushes, lipstick refills, tried and tested foundations many times but was never interested to buy them. But when I read so many good reviews about it in the blogging world then I had to try it. After entering this blogging world myself, I’ve started testing
Inglot Claims: Peach extract and strong matifying agents ensude this sheer long lasting, lightweight foundation provides a smooth, natural looking finish whist leaving the skin radiant and comfortably plumped up.
Come winters and my dry skin needs extra moisture. This one is one of the best cream foundation I have in my vanity to use in winters. As I mentioned above I did try and test this foundation in the store and the SA suggested me shade no 42. But I realise the harsh light at store reflecting on skin making it looks perfect but in natural lighting it looks bit ashy on me and I guess I should try a shade with little yellow tones..maybe 1 shade higher. Nevermind I can still work it out with my pressed powders.
Inglot YSM Cream Foundation comes in a transparent small 30ML squeezy tube packaging which looks cute and easily gets adjusted into my purse. It has a smooth creamy kind of texture and gives a smooth semi-matte finish when blended into skin. I generally prefer using makeup brushes to use foundations but with this YSM foundation you can easily apply with your fingers. It do not leave any harsh line rather give you medium to buildable coverage with a lightweight feeling on your skin. It does not cake on your skin and blend out imperfection making your skin look natural. It does not oxidise on me much which I like the most and stays upto 6-7 hrs on which is another plus point for me.
Let’s check the photos and swatches:
As you can see in the swatch below that the shade is a little light for me
And this is the swatch after blending it
And this is how it looks on my face. See how natural it looks
What I like about the Inglot YSM Cream Foundation:
- Light weight, does not make your skin feel heavy but provides you medium to buildable coverage.
- Gives a smooth and natural finish to your skin.
- Does not Irritate skin.
- Good for Normal to Dry skin girls
- Cute and travel friendly packaging.
- Does not contain Parabens
- Gives a semi-matte finish to your skin without settling into fine lines.
- Not at all greasy or oily.
- Does not oxidise , staying power is impressive.
What I don’t like about the Foundation:
- It has a weird smell which I am unable to describe
- Price is on a higher side.
- Quantity should be more considering the price.
- Oily-combination skin girls may not like it, I am sure they have a different option for oily skin too
- Somewhere I feel they have very limited shades available for lighter skin. #41 is the lightest which means those who are very pale may struggle to find their perfect match.
Price: Rs 970
VNA Rating: 4.5/5
Final Verdict: Inglot YSM Cream Foundation is for all those who want light to medium but buildable coverage without looking heavy. The finish is semi-matte finish. Its non drying and hydrating which makes it a good option for dry skin girls. I am in love with it and I highly recommend this foundation.
