Review and Price of Colorbar Full Cover Makeup Stick SPF 30 in Shade 02 Au Natural
By Contributor: Mamta
Recently I came across this new product form Colorbar which I will review and swatch today while searching for their concealer and foundation. I was actually at the store to pick up their pot concealer but they seem to have discounted all the other concealers and came up with an altogether new product and quite an interesting one I must say. It is concealer and foundation rolled up in a stick form called Full Cover Makeup for the convenience of use along with SPF 30 which is great as we all love multi-tasking products.
Colorbar Claims: A lightweight, creamy, medium coverage concealer plus foundation that provides smooth, long-wearing and natural finish hiding all skin blemishes & dark circles and even out skin tone. This emollient based foundation is so concentrated that a tiny amount can provide complete coverage to even skin tone.
Colorbar Full Cover Makeup Stick comes in a silver retractable stick form, which is very convenient to use and easy to carry. The stick is sturdy and rotates in well. There are three shades available and I have 02 Au natural which matches my skin perfectly and has neutral undertones with good amounts of yellow to suit Indian skin tones. As it comes in a stick form it is very easy to use.
The texture feels slightly stiff in the stick but as soon as it comes in the contact with the fingers or skin it gets super creamy and blends in well and feels comfortable on skin. It feels quite moisturizing against my combination skin but for winters I will need well moisturized skin for smooth blending. I like to apply it with fingers as I feel it blends in better that way. It has a very natural finish which soon gets dewy. I do set it with some loose powder to keep it matte and in place for long. I haven’t noticed any breakouts with using it regularly.
The coverage of Colorbar Makeup Stick is medium to full and highly buildable. When blended well it does not look cakey. It conceals any discoloration or acne marks on skin nicely. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well it covered my dark under eye circles almost completely with a bit of layering and I can totally skip a corrector with it, but it tends to crease quite a lot under the eyes within an hour of application and needs to be set well to stay in place. On the rest of the face it wears well and is quite long lasting too. It lasts for about 7-8 hours on my combination skin. It has SPF 30 which is great but it gives slight white cast only in Flash photography. The price is slightly on the higher side for 9 grams of product but little goes a long way.
What I like about Colorbar Full Cover Makeup Stick:
- Sleek convenient packaging.
- Great coverage.
- Feels comfortable on skin.
- Contains SPF of 30.
- Creamy texture blends in easily.
- Has natural finish.
- Good staying power.
What I don’t like about Colorbar Full Cover Makeup Stick:
- Narrow shade range.
- Creases under the eyes.
- Gives slight white cast with flash photography.
Price: Rs 675
VNA Rating: 3.8/5
Do I recommend? It’s a multi-tasking product which works fairly well as a foundation as well as concealer especially for day time use as it contains SPF of 30. If you are specifically looking for an under eye concealer then it might not be the best product but it’s perfect for use on rest of the face and conceals pretty well.
