Cheryl Cole Cannes 2012: Dress, Backstage, Makeup Breakdown – Vanitynoapologies

Cheryl Cole walked the Cannes 2012 Red Carpet on Day 5 in a Stephane Rolland couture white dress with a red feathered train, a red clutch and David Morris jewels. The white red gown is gorgeous, may be I’m partial to gowns with a long train but they make the silhouette appear so much mermaid like. (Ariel was my favourite cartoon character in the childhood). BUT the beauty of the red train was lost somewhere against the red carpet, no? Not a great fan of that red clutch and bangles (see below). BUT those earrings are to die for. Did I mention I love her voluminous wavy locks?

Okay don’t you simply love the makeup? I wish I had people to do this kinda makeup on me. I can do my makeup but…how would it feel to have 10 artists working on you while you are happily pinning on pinterest!

I love the smokey eyes and nude lips combo on her. Somehow I’m always in the nude lip gang rather than the coveted red lip. To achieve that smokey look, L’Oreal Infallible eye shadows in Eternal Black and Endless Chocolat were used (click for my swatches). I’m particularly interested in those nude lips which were aceived by L’Oreal Rouge Caresse lipsttick in Nude Ingenue topped with L’Oreal Glam Shine lipgloss in Fresh Aqua Grapefruit. The Rouge Caresse lipsticks have not been launched here yet :/ I think I need to go on a mad dupe chase!

And here she is ready to set the wet red carpet on fire. Yes it was raining!
