Chambor Sheer Delight Ultra Matt Foundation in 02 Ochre Review
By Contributor: Mamta
Many of us struggle to find good foundation because it has to match our skin type and tone, and it is not that easy to find the one that is almost close to perfect, and if it is from the drugstore than what else can we want. Today I will review and swatch this amazing foundation from Chambor called Sheer Delight Ultra Matt.
Chambor Claims: Discover the sheer delight of perfection with Chambor’s Sheer Delight Ultra Matt Foundation, it is time to bid oily and uneven skin goodbye. Here is a foundation that gives you the ‘no-makeup’ feeling. It comes with a matt finish that helps you stay shine free all day. Available in three shades Natural, Ocher, and Ginger.
The foundation comes in an opaque matte navy blue squeeze tube and a screw cap. The packing is simple, sturdy and hassle free, the squeeze tube dispenses required amount of product on squeezing causing no product wastage. The only small problem is that the foundation gathers at the mouth of the tube and has to be cleaned every time and the matte outer packaging is prone to getting dirty. I have it in the second shade ochre which matches my skin tone properly, darker skin tones may have a hard time selecting shades because of the limited shade section. Also it does not contain any sun protection so a sunscreen has to be used separately!
The foundation has a thick cream like consistency but is very lightweight almost like an airy mousse. It is very easy to apply and blend, it applies smoothly and fingers work best with it I feel, it does not require a lot of blending and application is really quick, a little goes a long way. I have combination skin which gets very oily during summers and this foundation works like a charm. Moisturizing face is must before using it since it does emphasize any of the dry patches on skin. It has a semi matte finish which looks very natural, it is perfect for normal to oily skin types, and dry skinned beauties kindly stay away from this one!
The coverage is light to medium just like the name, it even out skin tone nicely but is not buildable due to the thick texture. When I tried layering it looked obvious and cakey, so if you require more coverage then this might not be the best one. I do need a separate concealer for darkness under eyes and blemishes.
The wear time is very impressive though, it wears amazingly throughout the day without much touch ups, even when my skin is quite oily, I do see some shine on my t-zone after around 4 hours but blotting takes care of it. I have tried few foundations so far, and none of them lasts so well without fading on my skin and I have worn this one for a good 8-9 hours (tried and tested during summers). Another great this is that it is completely oil free and complete ingredients list is mentioned on the packaging itself.
What I like about Chambor Sheer Delight Ultra Matt Foundation:
- Looks very natural on skin, has light coverage
- Oil free and has a semi matte finish
- Blending is quick and easy
- Controls oil and lasts well on oily skin and summers
- Sturdy travel friendly packaging
What I don’t like about Chamber Sheer Delight Ultra Matt Foundation:
- Cannot be built up for more coverage or else it stars looking cakey
- Only three shades to choose from
- Does not have any SPF
Price: Rs 745
VNA Rating: 4/5
Do I recommend? If you have normal to oily skin and are looking for a good everyday foundation that has a bit more coverage than regular bb creams but lasts for long time and is completely oil free for problematic skin then this one is perfect to go for.
