The campaign has gone viral! Every where I see people are talking about how they got teary eyed after watching the Dove Real Beauty Sketches Ad ad. It didn’t tear me up but made me smile. I was like..ohh so I’m not alone! If you are living under a rock, then this post is meant for you!
Sometimes, self-perceptions can be harsh… Did you know, only 4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful? That’s why Dove is committed to creating a world where beauty is a source of confidence, not anxiety. How would you describe your beauty if someone asked you to? Would you be your worst critic?
Dove recently documented a short film – Dove Real Beauty Sketches – that explored how women view their own beauty in contrast to how others see it. What they discovered in the film was astounding – for me and the women in the video!

As everything else, this one has got haters too. Some claim its sexist, some claim its blah blahdi blahdi blah. Well to each his own. Let’s not take every single thing too seriously and give credit to the small things that make you smile.
