Street Wear Color Rich Ultra Moist Lipsticks Pink Persuasion and Pink Pirouette and Megashine Lipgloss Party Melon Review
By Contributor: Priyanka
I am grateful that VNA agreed to share a little space on their blog with me. I am all set to write my first ever review. This is making me nervous and excited at the same time. I know this post has been such a long due. Before Anshita hunts me down, let us quickly head on to the review and swatches of the newly launched Color Rich range by Street Wear. I have 2 Ultra Moist lipsticks in shade Pink Pirouette and Pink Persuasion and the Street Wear Megashine Lipgloss in shade Party Melon.
Street Wear Color Rich Ultra Moist Lipsticks Review – Pink Persuasion and Pink Pirouette
This range has about two dozen shades to choose from which sounds great. This range has got every shade from reds to pinks and browns to corals to offer. I have swatched every shade at least a couple of times before zeroing in on one and trust me it was hard. Not because all of them were alluring but because a variety of shades look similar to the other. After spending about an hour, looking at my arm at different angles, much to the SA’s relief I picked up two shades. I have with me the Pink Persuasion and Pink Pirouette, which is a perfect misnomer (it has no scintilla traces of pink in it).
Packaging: It is quite girly and fun, featuring some pop art. Each shade falls under either ‘Shades of Susie’, ‘Aisha’, ‘Shanaya’ or ‘Simran’. I read somewhere that these are names of the girls featured on the product. I have my speculations if they were named after the leading ladies of the B-town! (Aisha- Ek villain; Shanaya- SOTY; Simran – DDLJ). However, it has a downside that the bullet doesn’t swivel into the tube well and gets nicked to the cap almost every time.
Texture: It glides on smooth and has a creamy finish which is great recalling the price at which it is offered.
Formula: The lipsticks are not hydrating which in no way means they are drying either.
Pigmentation: The color pay-off is good and gives about sheer to medium coverage. The color intensity could be built up without getting cakey.
Staying Power: Both the shades have an average wear time of about 3-3.5 hours which I think is decent for the price. The color fades evenly post meal.
Shade: Pink Persuasion is a pretty pink with hints of coral in it. It compliments fair to medium skin tones well. Pink Pirouette is an orange without prominent yellow undertones making it easy for the Indian skin it pull it off well.
Street Wear Color Rich Megashine Lipgloss Party Melon Review
I did pick up a gloss besides the lipsticks called Party Melon. This range of glosses, offer 6-7 shades and all but Party Melon are shimmery. But for the fact, that the shade is an amazing raspberry pink, it is no better than the lipsticks!
They come in a packaging similar to the lipsticks (with pop art illustration). I appreciate that they come in transparent tubes making identification easy when you own more than one. You could look to the bottom for the name of the shade. It comes with a doe-foot applicator which picks up enough product to cover my whole lip in a take.
I don’t find these glosses very sticky which implies they don’t survive for long. I have worn these for a good 3 hours and asking for more is insensible, considering the price point. I love how it looks with SW color rich ultra-moist lipstick Spell Bound underneath. It looks equally pretty when worn alone, though doesn’t cover pigmented lips completely.
What I love about Street Wear Color Rich Lipsticks and Lipgloss:
- Cute, girly and fun kind of packaging
- Great for teens and newbies to makeup
- Amazing creamy texture
- Lovely shades covering a wide spectrum of colors
- Easy on your pocket
- They do not bleed
- Neither dry nor hydrating, (this isn’t bad!)
Where Street Wear Color Rich Lipsticks and Lipgloss failed:
- Staying power is just average (not a complaint at this price though!)
- The bullet gets nicked to the cap in case you ain’t careful
- I barely have found them stocked up in any online stores
Price: Rs.180 (lipsticks) and Rs.150 (lipgloss)
VNA Rating: Lipsticks – 4/5; Lipgloss – 3.5/5
Recommendation: If you’re a college goer or finding a lip product on budget, these are amazing and must give at least a shade or two a try. They are a total value for money.
If u already tried them, don’t forget to drop us a comment on how u liked them or which is your favorite shade. Would love to hear how you liked the review as well! Until I come up with another review, take care and cya lovelies!
