My first review for VNA and yes, I am super excited and grinning from ear-to-ear while writing. Today I will be reviewing an anti-aging, to be precise, an age specific anti ageing and whitening day cream for 40+ Indian women from the brand L’Oréal. No, absolutely I am nowhere near 40 so I am writing the experience of my aunt. She is a lady who loves L’Oréal and has almost every skincare and makeup product from this brand and she loves it. And I loathe it. Nothing from L’Oréal suits me except for the lipsticks, which I adore from the core of my heart. I came to know about L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Age 40+ Day Cream from her. So let’s read the review.

My Review of L’Oreal 40+ skin cream:
L’Oreal has been her favorite brand and so she couldn’t resist the urge of buying the cream. The skincare cream comes in a hefty glass jar with a sweet looking matte golden lid. The packing is slightly heavy but totally effective. You have to use it very cautiously as one fall from the hand will be prone to breakage. I have seen her travelling with jar quite often for office tours and so far she hasn’t faced any problem.
The anti ageing whitening cream looks slightly whipped with velvet soft and smooth texture. It melts into the skin in no time after blending. The color of the loreal day creme is slightly towards beige and peach. Coming to the fragrance, it is heavenly. A mixture of floral and euphoric aroma blended together and lingers all through the day without being overpowering for a bit. The 40+ cream sets into a matte to dewy finish once blended. Although it is easy to blend but if too much amount is applied accidentally, it leaves the skin with blotted whitish cast that definitely isn’t appealing to the eyes. Unless if you have a very oily skin, you don’t need a powder to finish off as with this product the pores and discolorations are mildly taken care of. The formula of the skin perfect cream is perfect for ladies with normal to oily skin. The ladies with dry skin might require a moisturizer beneath during winters.
The performance of the cream is very good. The 40+ cream definitely doesn’t stop wrinkles but it decreases the acceleration to a large extent with prolonged usage. With regular usage, you would notice a faint glow in the skin and most importantly the crème keeps the skin fresh and hydrated. Women in their 40s start losing the luster and appearance of the wrinkles makes it more difficult and therefore a proper age specific cream is a savior. It has SPF 21 PA+++ which works as effective as a sunscreen and therefore comes out as an all-rounder day cream.
The staying power of the loreal cream is around 3-4 during scorching summers and during monsoons it stays around 5hrs or so. The product controls the oil on the skin for a long time and keep the skin fresh as well. There has been no side-effects from the skin perfect age 40+.
The price of the whitening cream is reasonable as most of the anti-aging cream are priced around this amount. Given the efficient day cream it is, I don’t think anyone would mind splurging this much.

- Suitable for normal to oily skin as it sets into a dewy to matte finish.

Bad Points about L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect Age 40+ Day Cream:
- Dry skin might require an effective moisturizer to hydrate the skin and prevent it from drying.

Remarks: An age specific cream is something we don’t very have in the market and when a day cream acts like an all-rounder, it is definitely a winner. The cream would suit most of the ladies and has no side effects as well. A must buy anti-aging cream.
