Review of Revlon Colorstay Moisture stain in Parisian Passion and Price
By Contributor: Aruna
Revlon lip products have always been a big hit for me, especially their Colorburst lipstick range but there have been some fails too and that includes the Colorstay Suede Lipsticks which were a complete disaster. So when I came across this new lip stain called Colorstay Moisture Stain on the Revlon counter, I was a bit hesitant to try it out remembering the disastrous lipsticks. But the moment I swatched it and tested its consistency, I was completely convinced! I got the shade Parisian Passion which I will review and swatch today. It is a deep berry colour that is perfect for fall.
My Review:
The formulation of the lip stain is very unique and it’s the first of the lip stains in the Indian market that have moisture plus pigment all rolled into one. It is extremely pigmented, all of them, not just the shade that I have. Revlon Parisian passion is a deep berry purple shade which will take some guts to wear in its completely pigmented form but luckily enough, it can be sheered down for regular wear and it still looks bold!
It is absolutely comfortable to wear and does not dry out your lips like other stains would. At first, when one applies the product, it has a balmy and a slippery texture but after an hour or so it sets on the lips without accentuating the lip lines.
The wear time is also really long and it can last for upto six hours! The glossiness may fade away over time but the stain remains in place. The applicator also makes it easy to apply and fits the contours of my lips perfectly. The packaging of the product is sleek, understated and the cap shuts perfectly so that one can carry it around without a mess. And it smells like candy!
However, the only downside about this stain is that when it does fade away, it does tend to leave the lips a bit dry and stain may be uneven at the corners of the mouth.
