Trick Tuesday: PERFECT MAKEUP FOR GLASSES
By Contributor: Mahima
Do you wear glasses? Well I used to, not all the time but only while studying. But many of you might be wearing glasses all the day, so I came up with a simple yet sexy look for glass wearers as makeup with gl asses could be a tricky thing. So what are waiting for ?
Lets get started. For the base, my No.1 tip will be to use a good primer on the areas where your glasses sit, as it will prevent the makeup from smudging and also highlight your under eye area as it will eliminate the shadows casted by the frames.
STEP1: line your eyes with a black kohl, both lower and upper lashline.
Product used : Maybelline colossal.
STEP2: now with a pencil brush, smudge the kohl. See how I dragged the kohl in a cat eyeshape, that’s just because it will extend your eye not making it look round and boring behind the glasses.
STEP3: glasses can make your eye look flat, so to bring back the dimension you need to shade in your crease. So just apply a dark matte brown into your crease blending it upwards.
Product used – nyx e/s in ‘matte brown’
STEP4: smudge a black eyeshadow over the smudged kohl as it will again ensure the longevity.
Product used- nyx e/s ‘matte black’
STEP5: now you wanna highlight your browbone, don’t go over board with shimmery highlighters as it will reflect back on the frame. I personally used my compact powder to highlight the brow bone and inner corner.
Product used: chambor silver shadow compact.
STEP6: apply a good coat of mascara to your upper and lower lashes, you can apply 2-3 coats or go for just 1 like I did. And I would suggest using a waterproof formula as it will hold the curl and the lashes wont hit the frames.
Product used: Maybelline falsies.
Now for the cheeks and lips, I used Maybelline cheeky glow in the shade ‘creamy cinnamon’ very lightly as my glasses are really big but if you wear those slim frames then you can apply a peachy pink blush(recommendation-mac fleur power) and for the lips I used Revlon’s kissable balm stain in the shade ‘honey’ as it is a light mauvy pink and compliments the eye’s perfectly.
Woho we’re done and you don’t really need glasses to pull this look off, it is a very polished look that look absolutely stunning with or without glasses.
