Am here today with a brand new Revlon launch, ekdum chakachak- the much coveted colorburst matte balm range very recently launched along with their lip lacquer balms also (which I hated BTW) and after going crazy over the numerous shades (most of them are very pretty but unfortunately close MAC lipstick dupes) I managed to escape with 2-3 of which I am reviewing and swatching today a very pretty rosy-brown universal shade – Sultry.
Revlon Claims: Velvety Matte Look. Moisture Rich Balm. A Matte finish that’s beyond plush. Balm that’s beyond comforting. Our Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Coconut and Mango butters nourishes lips. In 10 collectible, craveable colors.
The packaging of the colorburst matte balms is only too familiar, very like their Just bitten stains
with their cute crayon bodies, color-coded and with a tight cap, only difference being the bodies also are in a matte packaging.
The texture is omg so so lovely- creamy, one stroke, buttery soft (very like MAC amplified cremes ahemm) and applies very easily and evenly on lips. More so with its crayon shaped tip which allows easier application IMO! The formula is a very soft, velvety matte just what Revlon claims and not at all the drying, peeling flat matte texture which I thoroughly hate.
The color sultry will be one of the bestsellers in our country am sure as it has just the right balance of rosy pink, brown and a hint of berry to make all Indian skin tones and ages look beautiful while carrying it off. My mom loved wearing it as much as I did (which is saying something as most MAC lipsticks make her shrink back in terror!) A very gorgeous everyday browny pink.
The pigmentation is amazing and gives an almost opaque color in a single swipe only. It can be easily built up even more without it being caked up or any heavy/greasy feel.
The staying power is quite good and lasts easily through 4-5 hours with food and drinks and the best part is that it fades away without staining.
It has a fresh pepperminty smell and a slight tingle which instantly plumps up lips for a healthy juicy pout.

The shade sultry is an ideal combination of rosy brown with a pinkish berry hint which will look gorgeous on simply everybody
The pigmentation is awesome and results in almost opaque color in a single swipe
The staying power also is pretty good and easily lasts for 4-5 hours.
Fresh minty fragrance and a slight tingle.
The cons of Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm Sultry:
Too pricey for a drugstore brand
Comes without sun protection
Price: Rs.800 (shockingg!)
VNA Rating: 4/5
Do I recommend? Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm Sultry is a nice everyday pink brown. I had my eyes on these lip crayons ever since they launched abroad and now that they are here and uncannily resemble MAC lipsticks both by shades and textures and also MAC lipsticks are priced at Rs.1200 now so 800 sounds quite good eh. Lovely texture, pigmentation, shades! Highly recommended! Thank you so much all for going through my post and hope it helps you guys to keep or skip these newly launched balms.
