Color Intrigue Eyeshadow Quad Golden Lilac by Elizabeth Arden Review
By Contributor: Arshita
Recently, I have fallen in love with this brand Elizabeth Arden. So a few months ago, I bought their eyeshadow quad Golden Lilac and today I am going to review and swatch it. I am a confused soul and while travelling I get even more confused about what to take with me and what not to. So I wanted a handy palette that can be useful, and after searching, I found this one.
Elizabeth Arden Claims: Coordinated quartet of shades in one convenient compact. Color, contour, highlight and fine your eyes. Rich true colors that last all day. Includes dual ended eye shadow brush and foam tip applicator. Ophthalmologist and clinically tested.
My Review:
Packaging: It comes in a nice decorated black compact. It has inbuilt mirror inside and one dual ended eye shadow applicator and brush. The brush is very soft and perfect for contouring eyes. The eye shadow
applicator is also very useful, picks up color very well.
Shades & Texture: There are four shades in the palette, on the left top is lilac, left bottom is a light pastel shade with lilac hues. On the right top, there is champagne or golden shade and at the right bottom, there is a gunmetal shade. The shades on the left side are less shimmery and lighter; and the shades on the right side are shimmery and dark. All the shades are with good pigmentation except for the pastel shade, it looks quite chalky on the skin.
The champagne shade is great for party look, or even for contouring; the gunmetal shade looks great as smokey eyes looks. Since, I have medium Indian skin tone, I do not feel comfortable using the lilac shade on the lids, I often use them as highlighter in the corner of my eyes. And I use the pastel shade on the brow bone area. This is how, this palette becomes my favorite travel-friend, four shades in one palette and I can create many looks with it.

Staying Power: The staying power of the shades is quite impressive. It stays right on place for more than 8 hours on my eyes. It does not fade or fall off, not even when I am being forgetful about my makeup (happens a lot of times!).
My eye makeup look with it
The Good Points of Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Eyeshadow Quad Golden Lilac:
Nice packaging.
Inbuilt mirror and dual brush-applicator provided.
Four beautiful shades.
Good for party looks as well as simple looks.
Travel-friendly.
Good pigmentation.
The Not-so-Good Points of Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Eyeshadow Quad Golden Lilac:
The pastel shade is chalky.
A bit expensive.
Price: Rs.1800 (Price may have hiked recently)
VNA Rating: 4/5
My Thoughts: Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Eyeshadow Quad Golden Lilac is great. As I said I am in love with this brand and I love this little palette too. The champagne and gunmetal shades are my hot favorite these days, I apply the first on the lids and the later on the crease and I am good to go! Though the pastel shade is bit of a hitch yet I cannot ignore my love towards the other shades and the packaging (and the brush too!). The shades are quite nice, but the lighter shades will look good on fairer skin tone, in my opinion.
