Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick #16 Orange Impertinent Review and Swatches
By Contributor: Agnirupa Acharyya
I didn’t want to move on from MAC you know. Really I swear! Nor did I want to move on my budget for a high end luxurious lipstick that’s why I have always been not excited by Chanel or Bobbi Brown much..I was pretty much the same way about YSL til oh dear I tried the Rouge Volupte Shine lipsticks at the counter to kill time. I killed my MAC love to a huge extent and my purse refuses to stay in my bag nowadays. And the S.A at the counter was knowledgeable and persistent and friendly so you get the rest of the story. I brought home my first YSL lipstick no.16 Orange Impertinent which I’m going to review and swatch today. And omg I am so much in love!!
YSL Claims: Give in to the temptation of dazzling color. Succumb to a unique sensorial experience with extreme comfort and luminous shine. Hyaluronic-acid microspheres help seal in moisture for eight hours of hydration. Antioxidants and emollients help condition and soften lips. Available in a variety of irresistibly fresh shades. Check all the shades here
The color Orange Impertinent is a reddish coral orange which is not *mirinda orange*. It is a lovely glossy finish reddish orange which makes your pout look healthy and plump. The pigmentation is awesome considering its sheer finish and hydration..it has a lovely translucent finish with a bright color payoff and you just need a couple of swipes!
The texture: if you love MAC textures like me especially the cremesheens and lustres you will DIE when you try these rouge volupte shine lipsticks!! They glide on softer like butter, hydrates lips and after application you forget whether you have lipstick on or a soft light lip balm.
The staying power is pretty amazing, 5-6 hours, then leaves behind a bright pretty stain and does not want to go completely even after you remove it!
The packaging is an art in itself! Though a bit pudgy and heavy to carry around the beautiful gold packaging with a mirror finish and YSL design makes me just keep it in front of me and stare. Even after it is expired/finished, I can never throw it away!

Lasts on and on for 5+ hours and leaves behind a pretty stain!
The cons of YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick Orange Impertinent No.16:
Very pricey
Price: Rs. 1900 *nahiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii*
VNA Rating: 4.9999/5
Do I recommend? YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick Orange Impertinent is a beautiful coral orange shade. Beg,borrow or steal you have to have at least 1 of these classic lipsticks! Yes admitted, these are damn expensive but trust me these are so worth it than a basket full of unused randomly bought budget lipsticks! Where Chanel and Bobbi Brown
failed to impress me for the price tag , YSL has left me speechless and craving for more. An unmatched finish *no MAC can match!*, a great color payoff, superb texture and great lasting power I recommend and rave about these to everyone! I love MAC only for the shade diversity bass! Rest of the departments I have shifted loyalty to YSL.
